Description

The Harvester is a tower which fires projectiles at enemies. It could have been obtained by triumphing all Hexscape Event maps on the Hard difficulty. Most recently, it was brought back through a limited time gamepass priced at 799 Robux. The Harvester deals DPS with its projectile. It has an ability to create thorns along with the path of two segments, which slow and deal damage to enemies periodically. These thorns only last for a few seconds on the path. During later levels, the Harvester gains high damage and firerate, and the thorns are enhanced to deal more damage, receive an extended lifespan, cover a larger area, and have more slowdown. The Harvester's Thorns ability also has an effect on another tower, the Farm. All Farms in its range will create additional thorns on the path. These thorns use the same statistics as the Harvester, except that the damage, duration and range statistics are halved at Level 0, with each Level increasing their power (except the range) by 10%, up to 100%. The Harvester is considerably a mid-late game tower as its main DPS can be effective during the mid-game while its Thorns ability can be great against weaker and higher health hoards later on. The Harvester has a placement limit of five per player.

Strategy

The Harvester's high DPS allows for it to be an effective DPS for the mid to late-game. Do note however, that it is a projectile tower with the potential of missing enemies. This can make it less reliable than towers like the Accelerator or Ranger, which will not miss the intended target. While not particularly great against hordes, its Thorns ability can be used to compensate for this. The Harvester is a decent pick against mid to late-game Flying enemies, as it has flying detection from Level 0. It does not, however, have any other detections until Level 3, where it gains the hidden detection, though its Thorns ability can be used to damage Hidden enemies. Do note that the Thorns cannot damage either Flying or Lead enemies. Its Thorns ability can be an effective counter against Aggro enemies. While it may not be enough to kill stronger ones, such as the Fallen Shield with Aggro, it can be used to damage the crowds of enemies that appear alongside it on any part of the map. The Harvester's Thorns ability also affects the Farm through Nature's Bond. It will make all Farms in the range of the Harvester create thorns, with their statistics being half of the Harvester's thorns statistics at Level 0, becoming stronger with Levels. Placing down Farms where their range covers the path while also being in the Harvester's range can significantly increase how much damage its Thorns ability deals. The Farm can also be used to generate cash to help afford the Harvester's high upgrade costs.

Trivia

The Harvester is the first tower to be left-handed by default, the second being the Assassin. All other towers are either right handed or use both of their hands from Level 0. During Containment, if Hard difficulty is selected, the Harvester is included in all loadouts as a sixth tower slot, even if the player had not obtained the Harvester.
