Spawning
To spawn the Prehistoric Island, players need to sail into Sea Danger Level 6 (????) and continue exploring until the island appears. The island can spawn even if the player in the boat does not have the Volcanic Magnet, but having it increases the chances of the island spawning drastically. Thus, it is recommended for at least one player to have a Volcanic Magnet in the sea exploration group if they're hunting for the Prehistoric Island.
Notes
The player can spawn it alone and the Volcano Event can be completed alone. (Not recommended.) The Prehistoric Island will despawn after all players leave the island. The Prehistoric Island can spawn at any time, regardless of whether it is day or night. However, it is recommended to attempt spawning during the day for better visibility and navigation. The Prehistoric Island can be spawned without a Volcanic Magnet, at a lower chance. As long as one player in the ship has a Volcanic Magnet, the island will have higher rates of spawning. The driver doesn't need to specifically have one in their inventory, and neither do all players need to have one in theirs. Any player not nearby the island (not close enough to initiate the raid timer) when the Ancient Relic is interacted with, will be unable to collect any Dinosaur Bones or a Dragon Egg, even if they have significantly contributed to the event.
Usage
The Prehistoric Island is the only location where the Fossil Expert can appear. The Fossil Expert enables players to use Dinosaur Bones the player gains from the Volcano Event to craft unique Accessories, such as the T-Rex Skull and Dino Hood. Interacting with the Fossil Ancient Relic ( Said relic is the large T-Rex Skull on the ground in front of the volcano. The player has a very low chance of getting an east or west variant of the Dragon Fruit by picking up the Dragon Egg. The player can find the Dragon Egg next to the Fossil Ancient Relic, an item that is used to get the Draco race, crafting weapons, or unlocking Dragon skin recipes. The player will need to talk to the Dragon Wizard and learn the Dragon Tether ability to be able to grab the egg. Dragon Eggs will not spawn if the relics health is under 90% once the event ends. There is the Prehistoric Cave located under Fossil Expert, where players with Draco can obtain its V4 and upgrade it. However, the cave will be closed until the Volcano Event is completed. Only one player can go inside and do the Trial of Flames per island.
Volcano Event
The Ancient Relic (or fossil) must be interacted with to start the event. The player has 5 minutes to complete the event, there are two main themes in this event: Players must keep the volcano pressure down by using moves with Destructible Physics and damage on the orange effects/flames on the volcano to destroy them. Protect the relic, which will be attacked by Lava Golems. Players must protect the relic by preventing the Lava Golems from hitting and destroying it. These two events will occur simultaneously, so it is recommended to have two groups, one maintaining the volcano pressure and the other protecting the relic. However, it is fine for one player for each. Otherwise, it is very hard to solo. When the timer runs out, players will be able to pick up as many bones as they can as quickly as possible on the ground near the relic. (The amount of bones spawn depends on how many players on the island when the event start, each player should spawn five bones). The black door will also open in a cave, but the player has to be using the Draco race to unlock it. After the Volcano Event is completed, the entrance to the Trial of Flames cave on the island will be opened. If the relic's health gets depleted, a message will appear stating "The relic has been fully destroyed", and all players who participated in the event will die, regardless of their health.
Tips & Tricks
Simply consuming 4 Lava Potions prior to the event starting makes it extremely easy, providing free range of movement with no risks whatsoever. A good strategy is spawning the Prehistoric Island with a single boat and someone driving it that has the Volcanic Magnet and that preferably has the Portal fruit equipped, to make Terrorsharks and all Sea Danger Level 6 (????) Sea Events despawn, with the Portal's Dimensional Rift [V] move. Once the Prehistoric Island spawns, open a portal at Tiki Outpost; without going into the portal itself using mobility moves. Teleport 2-3 allied players to the island and, upon completing the Volcano Event, the Volcano will drop 5x Dinosaur Bones per person on the island. Another good strategy is to fly above all Sea Events using The Sentinel with a small group of people (2-8 players recommended) all having a Volcanic Magnet in their inventory. Once the Prehistoric Island spawns, clear the Volcano Event and obtain 5x Dinosaur Bones per player that joined the event. It is recommended to split into two groups: one focuses on reducing the pressure of the volcano, while the other deals with eliminating the lava golems. A group of at least two people or more is recommended. If the player has only one friend or teammate, just get the player with the more explosive moves to handle the volcano pressure whilst the other fends off the lava golems. It is advisable to use a fruit with a flight ability like Eagle with Skull Guitar, Light or Magma to quickly fly around the volcano and reduce the pressure in a short period of time.
Patch history
The Prehistoric Island does not have a despawn time. However, it will still despawn instantly if no one is on the island, or if the player who spawned it leaves the game. The volcano eruption is one of the Admin Abilities, which is called "Draconic Incandescence of the Vermilion Firmament". The Prehistoric Island is commonly abbreviated as "PH". The Prehistoric Island, and other "rare" sea events, were used to be spawnable in any Sea Danger Level due to the now-patched "12-player glitch". There is an ongoing bug where volcanic pressure and relic health doesn't show. Because of this, it is recommended to prevent the relic from taking damage entirely and destroying the lava as soon as it spawns. There is another ongoing bug, where the event does not start, even after interacting with the relic.
