Locations

In the First Sea, the Angler is located at the lower docks of Skylands. In the Second Sea, the Angler is located at the Green Zone dock (also known as Dock 3). In the Third Sea, the Angler is located at Hydra Island, by the river near the Hydra Leader spawn.

Function

Players must reach at least Fishing level 20 to interact with the Angler. Upon interaction, the Angler provides three dialogue options, with some requiring specific conditions to unlock. Selecting the "Quest" option and completing the assigned quest increases the player's trust level by one. Four different fishing rods can be crafted from the Angler: Seven different baits can be crafted from the Angler: The Angler offers four different quests, each with an equal chance of being assigned. A 15 min cooldown is applied after a quest is accepted, regardless of completion or cancellation. Catch a Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Mythical fish. Catch any fish within 2 minutes and 5 seconds. Perform three perfect casts and three perfect reactions. Use any fishing rod skill three times.

Notes

Each sea has its own Angler. Quest progress does not carry over between seas. The Angler in the Second Sea provides access to stronger rods and baits with relatively low requirements. A new quest can only be accepted after the 15-minute cooldown ends. If the previous quest is incomplete, it must be abandoned before starting a new one. Quests involving Epic or Mythical fish are generally considered more difficult to complete. The Angler has a limit of 100 quests. Quest rewards in Money do not increase beyond 11,000. The total number of completed quests can be estimated using the formula: (reward − 1000) ÷ 100. Example: A reward of 1,700 indicates seven quests completed, with the current one being the eighth. This formula applies only to the quests “Perform 3 perfect casts and 3 perfect reactions” and “Use any fishing rod's skill three times. Each Angler has different reputation. For example, First Sea Angler does not have the same reputation as Second Sea Angler, and Third Sea Angler, etc. (If there is ever a Fourth Sea.)

Bugs

If a fish is caught within the time limit of a quest but the player waits until it expires before speaking to the Angler, the dialogue may freeze.

Trivia

The term "Epic Fish" in the Angler's quest text refers to a fish. The Angler's appearance differs in each sea. The player can switch fishing rods to complete the quest concerning skills faster
