Appearance
The icon appears as a golden-yellow purse with 2 sparkles on the left and 3 sparkles on the right. Its handles are connected by fancy, gold clasps that appear to be made of metal. The handles' length suggests it is to be held rather than worn.
Strategies
Fancy Purse is rather useless as it only activates once per run and serves no purpose later on, being considerably a waste of a Trinket slot. With this being said, it can help a bit with Toons that use for their Abilities, specifically, and by letting them use their Ability immediately after entering a run without having to collect extra Tapes, which is best used when your team is unable to properly communicate Tape locations or lose Health easily. One niche use for Fancy Purse would be for Masteries or Quests that require you to use Tapes, such as Ginger's third Golden Quest, being "Heal any non-Main Toon on 1 Heart 20 times as Ginger". Using this Trinket, one can easily cheese Quests by healing a player as soon as they lose a, then leaving and joining another run, repeating the cycle again. Overall, due to the Trinket only activating once at the start of the run and never again, and the fact that Tapes are very easy to accumulate, as well as the fact that it is outclassed by, Fancy Purse is not recommended to use aside from doing specific Masteries or Quests.
Patch history
Fancy Purse is the second Trinket to give, with the first being. This is likely due to them being both purses, as well as Fancy Purse being a better version of Coin Purse, though harder to earn. Fancy Purse used to lower your Extraction Speed by 3% (along with giving you 100 Tapes), which was later changed in v0.3.0. Even though the reason this debuff was applied is unknown, it could be a try to make Coin Purse a slightly more viable choice. Fancy Purse's mechanic is a reference to its respective Toon's Ability costing Tapes, and its respective Twisted's mechanic being to steal Tapes from a Toon when damaging them.
