This toon can heal a nearby targeted Toon to full Hearts for 100 tapes with a cooldown of 100. For every extra Ginger, the cost increases by 50 Tapes and the Cooldown increases by 30.

Appearance

Ginger is a light brown cookie with the right side of her face being bitten off (left side in our prespective), removing her right eye. She has reddish-pink eyeshadow with two sets of eyelashes and pink, circular blush underneath her left eye. She has white, long frosting hair with reddish-pink sprinkles on it. She wears a reddish-pink sleeveless dress with a striped pattern that is a lighter shade of reddish-pink, and a white collar as well as mauve and white striped stirrup tights. When hurt by a Twisted, she looks forlorn.

Personality

Ginger is a shy Toon, as stated in her introduction card. She seems somewhat insecure (as suggested in her dialogue with ), and is slightly socially awkward. However, she seems to love baking as much as and do, and cares for her cousin (Cosmo), despite being unable to always be there for him and the other Toons, as she is a Holiday Toon. She also tries to look for entertainment to keep herself busy outside of the holidays, proven in her interaction with. Unlike her cousin, she's said to be a rather atrocious baker, but has impressive decorating skills, as stated in her introduction card.

Requirement Strategies

For the first requirement, focus on picking up and extracting Machines. The Machine and Ornament count increases the further you descend, so you can earn more Ornaments. For the second requirement, have a Distractor Toon bring to the elevator to you so you can get aggro. Playing as also helps getting Research faster because of his Passive Ability. This will be easier if Twisted Ginger is on the Daily Twisted Board.

Golden Skin Quests

Reward: Skin For the first task, play normally until you find, get in her sight, then try to find her again in another Floor. It should be noted that you'll likely have better luck when she is on the Daily Twisted Board. For the second task, try and join a good run, or if you're skilled enough, do a solo run as the game will be fairly easier. Using and helps to speed up the Machine completion progress. A good way is to have a friend or two play the game as if you never existed, coming to you as express healing. This does force the need to have your friends have the skill to reach Floor 20, though having people you trust will be beneficial. You can also play on an alt account and have your main account be the Ginger. For the third task, the optimal strategy is to equip and have a friend or alt account get to 1, then heal. After that, you can either equip as well and try going for a second heal or immediately restart the run. Collecting 100 is really time consuming, and taking an extra few minutes to restart a run will be a lot more worth it. If you consider that strategy to be too time consuming, you can try to join a full run, better if they're below-average, and try playing with them. Their constant need of heals make healing opportunities abundant, though if you can't collect Tapes fast enough, you may waste a lot more time. To complete all tasks in tandem, play with a few friends and have them get to Floor 20 for you. When possible, try getting seen by Twisted Ginger if she spawns, and be utilized as a walking for your team.

Strategies

On paper, Ginger has one of, if not, the best healer Abilities in-game, being a direct upgrade to 's Ability with the bonus of average extracting potential. Her Ability, heals any Toon to full Health with 100, a really good Ability, capable of making your team last longer than normal. However, Tape collection, low mobility, low range, and the need to wind up your heal can have major setbacks, to the point that in most situations, she is the worst healer option in the game. Usually, it's best to use your Ability when someone is at 1, as any other Health level wastes some of Ginger's potential. However, there are other situations where that would not be ideal. A distracting would benefit from a lost Heart, so a or Sprout would be a better fit for him. Another situation would be a run with Toons being the majority. In that case, Cosmo can substitute if the team worries about wastage and Sprout can substitute to utilize Tapes in a beneficial way, as well as having the capability of distracting in a pinch. Unlike Sprout or Cosmo, Ginger's low mobility means Twisteds are an even bigger threat, with Twisteds like being extra difficult. This also makes traversal difficult, so Machine or Item opportunities will be scarce, and therefore makes Tape collection a hurdle. However, if your team is kind enough, you may have a decent shot at collecting the Tapes. However, Sprout's high mobility gives him a bonus of being able to back-up distract for his team, while Ginger's only other role is extracting.

Patch history

Ginger and are cousins, as confirmed by Qwelver. Ginger and Cosmo are three out of the five sets of Toons in-game to have a canonical biological relationship, the other three being &, &, and &. Ginger is much more different from the other Event Toons (those being Flyte and Soulvester). She is the only one whose Mastery doesn't require her to play with her relative. This is likely because needs Cosmo in his Mastery already. However, is required for both of and 's Masteries, so it may be for a different reason. She is the only one whose color palette and chatbox color doesn't include cyan as a predominant color. She is the only one who is a female. She is also the only one whose relative is a male. She is the only one who has an Ability that is fully support oriented, and can't use it for her own benefit (Flyte's speed boost can affect others but also himself, and Soulvester's Passive gives himself an extra heart and immunity to most ranged attacks). However, since Flutter and Connie's Abilities are selfish, while Cosmo's is support, it could just be a consequence of mimicking their sibling's Ability functions. She is the only one who technically doesn't share the same species as their relative. This is because Cosmo and Ginger are cousins, not siblings. This would also make her the only Uncommon Event Toon who doesn't have a sibling. However, you could count "sweet pastries" as a species rather than "brownie" and "gingerbread man" being separate. Ginger, and are the first Toons to not cost.
