Active Ability

This Toon places a "Gust" at his location for 10 seconds. Any Toon that walks into the Gust recieves a +15% Movement Speed boost for 3 seconds. Has a cooldown of 50.

Appearance

Flyte is a tall, pastel cyan butterfly, tall enough to be the tallest of all the Toons. He has an inverted egg-shaped head and pastel cyan legs. Atop his head, he has two antennae that end in dark cyan clovers. He wears pink makeup under his eyelids and a long, dark cyan cloak which is the same color as his antennae. He sports pink fluff around his neck, and pastel pink wings with a sharp structure. Each wing has clover markings of a darker shade of pink on them on the upper halves. He has no visible arms or mouth. Flyte chooses to walk on foot instead of flying, but he can indeed fly, being much more obvious with his Twisted counterpart, and eventually fully confirmed as of the music video for "Wilting" (as he is shown flying to grab a crate filled with eggs in one of the scenes).

Personality

Flyte is portrayed as an outgoing, caring, down to earth and friendly Toon who frequently checks up on the others to make sure they are okay. However, when some check up on him to see if he's okay or simply ask him certain questions, he tries to change the conversation. Much like a stereotypical older brother, he loves and cares deeply for his little sister, but his worrying for her annoys her, and she gets frustrated whenever he tries to convince her to give her wings a break, which in turn leads to her teasing him for not using his own. The sibling-like bickering is practically at a very little amount, so they predominantly love and care about each other. Befitting his guardian-like nature, his protectiveness extends beyond his sister, as he actively looks out for Toons such as and, trying to make sure that they don't get hurt. The descriptions of some of his UGC Items state that he has a snarky attitude, but such a side of him has never been displayed anywhere (with the possible exception of him and his sister talking about how much he flies compared to her).

Requirement Strategies

For the first requirement, focus on picking up and extracting Machines. The Machine and Basket count increases the further you descend, so you can earn more Baskets. For the second requirement, have a Distractor Toon bring to the elevator to you so you can get aggro. Playing as also helps getting Research faster because of his Passive Ability. This will be easier if Twisted Flyte is on the Daily Twisted Board.

Golden Skin Quests

Reward: Skin Then, either encounter him normally or ask the distractor to bring Twisted Flyte to the Elevator. It is easier to do this when he's on the Daily Twisted Board. Additionally, you should only play until around Floors 5-10, as those are when Twisteds are the most common. For the second quest, you should do a run with a good distractor or have friends that are willing to carry you. Once you reach Floor 21, you may leave if you want. Use survival Trinkets like to help you, or use to quicken Floor progression. For the third quest, put down a gust and ask people to run through it. If you can't say that to them, make them do it subconsciously by putting it in useful spots like near the Elevator or next to the distractor.

Strategies

Flyte is an excellent All-Rounder Toon with 4 Movement Speed, 3 Star Stealth, and 4 Star Extraction Speed. His Ability, is quite beneficial, increasing Movement Speed for other Toons. His Stats are almost identical to, with the only difference being the Stars for Skill Check and Extraction Speed being swapped in Flyte's case. Though also generally useful, his Active Ability can come in handy for 1 Star Movement Speed Toons like, and, since they may have trouble getting away from fast Twisteds like and. In addition, the gust can affect himself, unlike Tisha's Active Ability that can only affect other Toons but not herself. However, it also gives 25% Movement Speed for the a slightly longer duration, unlike Flyte's 15% Movement Speed buff. Other applications for Flyte's Ability include: Escaping Twisteds, being able to be used like 's Ability; Using it in front of other Toons to both boost them and insert oneself in front of the Twisteds to take aggro. Positioning matters; try not to put your boost behind them; To grant a speed boost to teammates at the start of a Floor to give your distractor an early start and generally to get the most out of it; Helping others get to the Elevator in time, by putting it a decent distance away (so other Toons get the most use out of it) if possible. Pay attention to who's outside/approaching and time it when most of them are close, as the gust does disappear after a while.

Patch history

Flyte being 's older brother makes them the fourth set of in-game Toons to have a canonical biological relationship. Flyte and Flutter share many similarities and contrasting points, both of which work together to unify their connection; Their names are ways of referring to a group of butterflies, and describing how they fly (a flutter and a flight). Their color palettes both involve the use of pink and turquoise. Flyte's color palette is the opposite of Flutter's, having a dominant blue and secondary pink compared to the reverse for Flutter. Their Twisted alternates never stop actively moving when roaming the map. Their body shapes and heights seem to add on to a duo trope where one member is short and plump, while the other is tall and lanky. They share the same Ability sound. Their Abilities involve spinning and boosting Movement Speed. Flyte's clover motifs seem to be carried over from old concept art of Flutter, with her having the same clover pattern on her wings as Flyte (albeit all over). As of v0.8.1, Flyte is the tallest Toon in the game, being even taller than (the original tallest Toon prior to Flyte's introduction). Before the changes in the v0.8.4 Easter Patch, there used to be a bug where Flyte's Ability will make any nearby Twisteds stop chasing him, along with preventing long-ranged Twisteds from using their abilities properly, due to his Ability acting like an obstacle where the Twisteds' line of sight is completely prevented, essentially turning him into a living Smoke Bomb.
