Appearance

The icon appears as a ribbon badge with a golden medallion in the center engraved with a picture of an ammonite shell. The two hanging ribbons are light brown while their ends are dark brown, matching 's dress colors. The medallion is surrounded by a white, petal-like trim.

Strategies

This Trinket is heavily recommended to be paired with if used in order to give the highest amount of Skill Checks possible per Machine, whilst also getting the smallest Skill Check Size in the game. However, this depends on the Toon and how proficient the player is at hitting small Skill Checks. If you only intend on running one Skill Check Trinket, consider using Magnifying Glass instead. This Trinket is also recommended to be used with Toons that have Skill Check higher than their Extraction Speed. It is not recommended to use this combo on Toons with low Skill Check; if you are not proficient at hitting incredibly small Skill Checks, using either Magnifying Glass, this Trinket and or simply are better alternatives. Generally, Participation Award is outclassed by Magnifying Glass. Magnifying Glass is on average 0.84-8.24 seconds faster per Machine depending on the Toon's stats, without Tech Savvy. Refer to Magnifying Glass for full list of compared times. Since Toons are more vulnerable during a Skill Check, Participation Award also carries a higher risk of leaving players stuck on Machines at inconvenient times. Participation Award could be better than Magnifying Glass on Toons with 5 Star Skill Check, though it’s entirely based on luck and the frequency of Skill Checks in either case (many Skill Checks with PA can overtake only a couple Skill Checks with MG). Magnifying Glass can be paired with this Trinket on a 1 Star Skill Check Toon to practice small Skill Checks.

Patch history

Using this Trinket with while playing, or will create the smallest consistent Skill Check size possible. The decrease in Skill Check size gained from using both of the aforementioned Trinkets is 39.7%, decreasing their Skill Check size to 30.15. Additionally, when afflicted with, their Skill Check size will be further decreased to 15.075. This however is not possible with Blot due to his Illness immunity. This specific combination's effect on other Skill Check sizes is as follows: (60.3) (90.45) (120.6) (150.75) The total amount of Skill Check size that can be lost from this Trinket can approximate to: (50) → (45) (100) → (90) (150) → (135) (200) → (180) (250) → (225) Chance is increased from 25% to 50%. Prior to an unknown update, unlike Magnifying Glass, this Trinket directly decreased the Skill Check size, rather than adding -10% to the Skill Check size Multiplier. This trait is present with the Debuff.
