Dead Rails Tesla Lab: The Summon and the Later Boss

Separate the optional lab event, its Electrocutioner reward and the later Nikola Tesla fight.

The Tesla Lab is a unique structure along the route. Its optional event and the Nikola Tesla boss are connected, but they are not the same encounter. The lab event is optional; the boss appears later in the route if the summon is completed.
What happens at the lab
The lab contains valuables and Tesla's body parts. Players can assemble the body and activate the mechanism to start a Scientist Zombie encounter. According to the community lab reference, finishing that event leaves the Electrocutioner and Bonds, while Tesla escapes. Summoning him also affects the later fight at Outlaw's Town. You can choose to leave with ordinary valuables instead; the Brain In Jar has other uses, so the decision has a cost.
Prepare for the optional event
Check daylight, ammunition, healing and the train's fuel before starting. Keep an exit route and decide who protects the train while others handle the lab. The reference describes several rooms and Scientist Zombies that can accumulate after the lever is activated. If your crew is low on resources, skipping the summon is a valid route choice.
Where the boss enters
The Nikola Tesla reference places the hostile boss at Outlaw's Town after the bridge crank, not as an immediate lab boss. Its listed health and attacks may change with updates or modes; confirm the current encounter in Roblox before relying on a numeric damage plan. Summoning Tesla at the lab is an opt-in complication for that later stand.
The similarly named weapon
The Tesla Cannon is a separate weapon with sources such as Evil Church and crafting in the community catalog. It is not the reward recorded for completing the Tesla Lab summon. Check the item page and the live game for current acquisition rules rather than planning a lab raid around the wrong weapon.
