Overview[1]

Colossal Ancient Dragon is an Exotic fish found in the Crimson Cavern.

The Colossal Ancient Dragon is a Exotic fish obtainable in a abundance located to the back of the Crimson Cavern, during a Colossal Ancient Dragon hunt. Appearance

A large, crimson-colored salamander-like fish with huge fins that spread out far and wide. It has eyes that look like antennas. It looks nearly identical to it's present form, the Colossal Blue Dragon.

Ability

25% chance every frame to emit a "deadly pulse", with the chance decreasing by 2.5% every attack until it reaches 12.5%. Increases reeling progress by 20% over 0.8 seconds, but sets the size to the current reeling progress. Progress cannot be gained. 1.2 seconds after the increase completes, it decreases reeling progress by 40% over 1.2 seconds, and sets the size to the current reeling progress. Progress cannot be gained. The bar will not revert to its original size unless the rod's passive changes it. This ability have a cooldown of 6 seconds.

Catching Quips

IT LOOKS OLDER THAN THE OCEAN ITSELF... HOW IS IT STILL ALIVE?! ITS FINS ARE LIKE WEATHERED STONE... IT FEELS... ANCIENT. IT'S OLDER THAN ANYTHING WE'VE EVER SEEN!

What does this mean?

Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.
