The Colossal Blue Dragon is a Exotic fish obtainable in a abundance located to the left of the Luminescent Cavern during a Colossal Blue Dragon hunt. Due to its high rarity, it makes for a challenging catch, moving erratically across the fishing bar. When reeling it in, a -90% Progress Speed is applied. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all Exotic fish.

20% chance every frame to emit a "deadly pulse", with the chance decreasing by 2% every attack until 10%. Increases reeling progress by 15% over 0.8 seconds, but sets the control bar size to the current reeling progress. During this, progress cannot be gained. 1.2 seconds after the increase finishes, decreases reeling progress by 30% over 1.2 seconds, and resets the control to the current reeling progress. During this, progress cannot be gained. The bar will not revert to its original size unless the rod's passive changes it. This ability have a cooldown of 7 seconds

The Colossal Blue Dragon is based on the real world species called Glaucus atlanticus, or the Blue Glaucus. It is a species of small sea slugs that float upside-down near the ocean's surface, with a gas bubble located in it's stomach allowing for it to have buoyancy. This is mentioned in the description of the fish, where it is seen by sailors through its brilliant blue shine reflected off from the sun. The average KG listed in-game is heavily inaccurate to the real Blue Glaucus species, as they can't even exceed 100 grams (0.1KG) in weight. The Blue Glaucus species is also armed with toxic stinging cells, which are its main defense system. You will need a Crimson Colossal Blue Dragon to enter the Crimson Cavern. One way to get this easily is to appraise the Colossal Blue Dragon during a Mutation surge for a 0.26% chance to obtain the Crimson mutation.
