The Volcanic Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained in Volcanic Vents for 250,000 C$.
The Volcanic Rod is a very good rod despite mediocre stats, with a chance to mutate the fish with the Ashen Fortune mutation which makes fish 5x sell value of the original value of the fish, making this a very good rod for money making, making it one of the best, if not the best, rods for beginners to use in early-game. The rod can be bought for 250,000C$ C$ and is located on a small platform the center of the fishing area in the Volcanic Vents. To get there, you must go uphill and follow a cave system with some basic obby. Lava in the obby will give you the "burn" effect reducing your health gradually. There will be a cave opening with lava and it is the only place to fish for Volcanic Vents bestiary.

Enchantments & Baits
For faster lure times, Swift or preferably Hasty. Either enchant can also be paired with Worm, Seaweed, Coral or Night Shrimp for instant lure times. For overall stat improvement, Quality or best of all, Mystical. Note that Mystical is an exalted enchant, and will require Exalted Relics, which are better used on late-game rods. For catching fish more easily and to combar the rod's low, Resilient. To maximize your chance of getting Perfect Catches (which multiply your catch XP by 1.5x), Controlled.

Patch history
Despite being in volcanic environments, for example Roslit Volcano, the Volcanic Rod cannot be used to fish in Roslit Volcano, unlike the Magma Rod. There was a bug where the Volcanic Rod’s passive ability had lower chances of applying the Ashen Fortune mutation on fish (about 5% instead of 20%). This has since been patched after reports.
