Overview[1]
The Wicked Fang Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained in Crimson Cavern for 400,000 C$ after Level 300.
The Wicked Fang Rod has high Luck and Lure Speed but less than optimal Control or Resilience. It's passive Progress Speed increase paired with its 25% stab chance that briefly stuns the fish and advances bar progress by 10% (ignores Progress Speed reductions) make it an excellent rod for XP grinding, catching fish faster and a decent rod for money grinding due to the mutationSolarblaze it gives. Its only major flaw is simply being outclassed by the Cerulean Fang Rod, which is more expensive but is better in nearly every way such as a higher valueable mutation which in this case is Nova (6x) the and doesn't require entering the Crimson Cavern.

What does this mean?
Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Trivia
It is not worth buying this rod as the Cerulean Fang Rod is only about 50% (25% if counting Eclipse Totem) more expensive and way better in almost every single way. However, because the Starfall Totem is so rare and the weather itself occuring, you may be better off purchasing this rod. If you buy and use an Eclipse Totem solely to get this rod, the price increases from C$400,000 C$ to C600,000 C$, since you have to factor in the C$200,000 C$ for the totem.
