The Wind Elemental is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained from a set of quests at the Glacial Grotto.
The Wind Elemental is an late-game fishing rod that can be obtained from the Wind Master at the top of the Northern Expedition. It has three passives: 25% chance to apply the Breezed mutation (8.2x value). Instantly fill up 50% of the bar, ignoring any negative progress boosts. Grants the player +50% Progress Speed during Windy weather. The player needs to be Level 800 in order to start the questline.

Obtainment
The Wind Elemental can be obtained on top of the Northern Expedition, specifically at Glacial Grotto. The player will have to climb on a series of ladders on the left from the four crystals in front of them when entering the top of the Northern Expedition, before climbing onto a tall rock located behind the four crystals. The Wind Master will be located in the middle of it, at. Then the player will have to take 3 quests from the Wind Master NPC. The first one being to collect a Big Shiny Bait Crate at about 12.8kg (12.70-12.89), which can be commonly obtained at places like Moosewood Docks or in the cave on Sunstone Island. To complete this, use Pinion's Aria with Blessed, and add on Glittered if are available. A Shiny Totem is highly recommended to boost Shiny chances by 3%. Doing all those above gives a 26.2% Shiny chance. Afterwards, you can Treasure appraise the bait crate to get a 1.59-1.61x multiplier. This may take a while, but with the right multipliers, this can happen. The second quest will be to collect a Shiny King's Blessing, which can be obtained using the Poseidon Rod with the Blessed enchant on it, and add on Glittered if are available. Fish in the abundance at shores to get maximum chances for a. Using a Shiny Totem, doing all of the above will give a 12% shiny rate, along with a 10% chance for the King's Blessing (5.5x) mutation. The third and final quest will be to collect a Shiny Blessed Whale Shark.
Notes
Due to the low, Quality, Controlled, Mystical, Herculean and Piercing are the best enchants to get on this rod to help boost the rods low stat. For a Cosmic Relic enchant, Cryogenic would be a good enchant, due to it freezing the fish, which helps with the rod's low. If you want more perks during Windy weather, Breezed is a good enchant.
Patch history
The Wind Elemental Rod was previously an admin rod, made public in Version 1.52.0 during the Lost Jungle update. Previously, the Wind Elemental used to give the Heavenly (6x) mutation, but during the Anniversary 2025 update it was changed to Breezed, which has a 15x multiplier. This was shortly changed to an 8.2x multiplier.
