Fish It! Luck Guide — How to Catch Rarer Fish

Fish It! has seven rarities — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic and Secret — and your odds of the rare ones scale almost entirely with Luck. Here's every source, so you can stack them before a Secret hunt.

Stack these Luck sources

  • Rod — your single biggest lever. High-luck rods like Astral (380%), Bamboo (760%) and the quest rods (1111%+) transform your odds.

  • Bait — Luck Bait, Chroma Bait and endgame options like Singularity Bait (+380%) add flat luck on top of your rod.

  • Enchants — apply Enchant Stones at Esoteric Depths for buffs like Leprechaun II (+50%), Stormhunter II (+140% in rain) and Stargazer II (+100% at night).

  • Luck potions — free from codes and quests; drink one before a hunt.

  • Weather — set Cloudy or Storm at the Weather Machine for a server-wide luck boost.

  • Totems — a Luck Totem gives +100% Luck to everyone nearby for an hour.

  • Friends — every friend in your server adds +10% Luck (up to +50% with five).

Fish where the rare ones live

Luck only helps if the fish you want spawns there — each species is tied to a specific island. Check the fish index for exactly where each Mythic and Secret catch lives, then stack your luck and camp that spot.
