W or L was revealed after Caylus and Steak asked Sammy if they ever thought about adding something similar to the recently added W Brainrot from Plants vs Brainrots, a Steal a Brainrot competitor game, which he replied with a Brainrot that was previously made and unreleased. Sammy confirmed an hour and 25 minutes before the admin abuse on Saturday 22nd November that Rarity=Secret would be used as material for W or L. In global chat, Sammy stated "get your los burritos ready". The L is doing the L sign which means “Loser”. W or L is the only brainrot in the Typographic family not to have numbers in its name, instead having letters.
