Design & Path

Atlas Colosseum takes place in an abandoned fighting area. The entire arena is surrounded by high stone bleachers, which in turn were surrounded by large stone column arches. There are also multiple entrances to the bleachers and a few statues. There are also two entrances to the arena. The bleachers also have a specific spot for a king, with a stone statue of a king seated in that location. In the arena, there are multiple crumbling pillars, stone bricks, weapons and wooden caravans. Wind can be heard on the map, alongside sand moving in the air. The path starts and ends at an arena entrance.

Rewards

The game calculates how many Coins Coins and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Strategy

Cliff towers are not recommended here, as the only cliff spots on this map are the pillars that appear on the arena, which are spread apart and only allow a small amount of towers to be placed on them. The Ace Pilot can be great here, as its flight path is circular, which allows it to cover a large amount of the path. The map has a large center area, between the two turns. This spot should be reserved for DPS towers such as the Accelerator and Minigunner. Placing supports such as the Commander and the DJ Booth here is also recommended so that it may reach all towers in the map.

Trivia

The Colosseum is named after Atlas, a greek Titan which was condemned by Zeus to hold the sky on his shoulders. The statue in the middle of the Colosseum was based on Atlas. Atlas Colosseum is based on Ancient Colosseum, a Hardcore exclusive map during Hardcore Beta testing. The ambience volume setting does not control the volume of the ambient track that plays on this map.
