Description
The Hunter is an intermediate tower that can be purchased from the store for 1,000 Coins. It could have also been obtained from a now expired code. The Hunter has a decently long range and deals a high amount of damage, however has a rather slow firerate. Uniquely, it requires time to aim before it can start attacking. It can attack Flying enemies at Level 0, and gains hidden detection at Level 3, In PVP mode, the hidden detection is unlocked at Level 1 instead. Therefore, the Hunter is a fairly good mid-late game DPS tower, being a good and simpler Ranger alternative for newer players. The Hunter deals high damage at later levels, making it a consistently good tower across all modes, even Frost and Hardcore modes. The Hunter excels at mid-late game DPS, especially good against slow, tanky enemies because of the slow reload and high damage bullet. When concentrated on one spot, multiple Hunters can take down bosses with ease and aid other DPS anchors in taking down later bosses. The Hunter has a placement limit of ten per player.

Strategy
The Hunter is a decent choice for mid to late-game due to its high DPS. As it has flying detection from Level 0, it can be an effective counter against Flying enemies like the Fallen Angel or Crying Angel. The Hunter can also be used against Hidden enemies, though due to it only getting hidden detection at Level 3 it is quite an expensive choice for this. You might want to use the Commander to decrease the Hunter's slow firerate. It is generally advised to concentrate multiple Hunters on one spot, preferably at loops and bends. This makes it much easier for multiple hunters to receive buffs from other support towers such as DJ Booth or Ace Pilot. The Hunter is an excellent DPS tower, but it is still advised to bring at least one other DPS tower, especially in much tougher gamemodes such as Fallen, where tanky enemies appear often and overwhelm Hunters easily.

Patch history
The original name for the Hunter was going to be called Clout God and it had a different design. The name and design were changed as some people felt it was too similar to the Tweeter from Tower Battles. The first version of the Blue skin for the Hunter looks similar to the original design. The Hunter is the first tower that is not a cliff or air-based tower which can detect flying enemies. Prior the v1.84.0 update, the Hunter was a starter tower.
