Description
The Warlock is a melee and ranged hybrid ground tower that could have been unlocked by triumphing Outpost 16, Banlands and Blind Faith on the Hard difficulty of the Null & Void Event. It could be obtained via a limited-time gamepass for 679 Robux. The Warlock has two range rings, each allows it to attack in a specific mode, each with its own statistics. The bigger range ring is the ranged attack range. With it, the Warlock fires energy beams at enemies. This deals damage to a single enemy, while also knocking it back at later levels. There is a 3 second cooldown before an enemy can be knocked back again. The second red range ring is the melee range. In it, the Warlock will attack enemies with its sword. This will deal AOE damage, with the intended target receiving both the melee and ranged damage, while anything hit alongside it only receives the ranged damage. This also applies bleed to enemies. If there are enemies in both its ranged and melee ranges, it will prioritize attacking enemies in its melee range. At Level 4, it gains the ability to apply bleed to enemies. Each bleed applied will only deal damage to an enemy once before disappearing, with there also being a 1.8 second delay between each bleed damage. Additionally, it can only deal damage while bleed is not being applied. This bleed can stack up to 40 times, which will cause a bleed collapse, dealing increased damage to the enemy instantly. The damage dealt varies based on an enemy's max health and the Warlock's base bleed damage, EV (exponential value) and how many bleed stacks are removed at once.

Strategy
The Warlock is an excellent option against high health enemies, due to its high DPS and bleed. Generally, it is preferred that the Warlock deals damage to such enemies in its melee range, as it has far higher DPS and AOE. It is entirely possible to use it while not taking advantage of its melee range as it does have quite high DPS without it, though this is not generally recommended. The knockback from the ranged attack can be helpful for keeping enemies within melee range. However, this is not always reliable as the Warlock prioritizes melee range and, due to various immunities related to knockback, prevents it from occurring consistently. The Warlock will prioritize attacking enemies in the melee range, regardless of its targeting. For example, if set to Last Enemy and there are enemies in both its melee and ranged range, it will only target the last enemy in its melee range, ignoring all enemies in the ranged range. This can be beneficial in certain situations, such as allowing it to ignore Aggro or target specific enemies that you want it to target. However, it can also lead to scenarios where a Warlock's target escapes its melee range while other enemies remain in range, leaving a potentially strong enemy with nothing to defeat it. Because of this, other towers should be taken to help with anything that gets past the Warlock's range as it will quite often be unable to actually deal with it itself Towers that decrease firerate, such as Commander can help the Warlock build bleed stacks more quickly.

Trivia
The Warlock is the only tower to use melee attacks that has the default size of tower placement footprint. The Warlock is the first tower to change attack modes based on enemies in its range. The names of most of the tower upgrades likely reference different features from the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons: While not a direct reference, Level 1 may be related to the Acolyte background, a feature that grants the Magic Initiate (Cleric) origin feat to any Dungeons and Dragons character. Level 3 references Pact of the Blade, a subfeature of a class feature from the original Dungeons and Dragons Warlock called Eldritch Invocations. The feature evolves around the use of a Pact Weapon, further reinforcing the reference to the large sword the tower is carrying. Level 4 references the Eldritch Knight, a subclass of the original Dungeons and Dragons Fighter that grants spellcasting to the purely martial class. The Level 5 upgrade name may be a reference to the Artorias The Abysswalker from Dark Souls.
