The Armor Trim Kit is a one-time-use item that can be used to upgrade an Armor's damage resistance. To use an Armor Trim Kit, you simply have to interact with the kit while wearing a piece of Armor. Upgraded Armors will have parts of them turned into gold and will have increased damage resistance. Note: Boots, Warm Clothing, Helmets, and the Riot Shield cannot be trimmed.
The Armor Trim Kit has the appearance of a portable modification kit, with the inside consisting of brown padding on one side and 3 tools along with a plate of gold on the other side. How to get it
Scavenge it from the forest, loot cultist camps, or craft it at camp.
