Overview[1]
Armor (referred to as Body in the game) is a form of loot the player can find in the Forest. It is a type of equipment the player can wear, which grants them a certain amount of protection against incoming damage, depending on the type of armor. They can either be scattered across the Forest, found in Chests, crafted in the Tool Workshop, or obtained from the Pelt Trader. Once a piece of armor is equipped, it cannot be unequipped (even upon dying and reviving) and can only be swapped with a better piece of armor.
How to get it
Scavenge it from the forest, loot cultist camps, or craft it at camp.
Variants
There are currently 7 distinct variants of wearable armor in the game. There's also 1 armor-type holdable item. |-|Leather Body=
Leather Body
The most common type of armor. It slightly protects the wearer from damage and can be found in the Forest, Good Chests, Iron Chests, or obtained from the Pelt Trader. Players with the Brawler Class spawn with it automatically equipped. People may call it “Poop Armour”, especially YouTubers. The Origin and reason for calling it this is mostly a joke. |-|Poison Armour=
Poison Armour
This type of armor has a special feature where anything that attacks the wearer (with a melee attack) gets inflicted with poison damage, similarly to Thorn Body. It can be obtained through Frog Chests, during the Frog Invasion event or from the Overlord Jungle Chest in the Mother Temple. Players with the Poison Master Class spawn with it automatically equipped. |-|Iron Body=
Iron Body
A slightly rarer type of armor. It protects the wearer greatly from damage and can be found in the Forest, Legendary Chests, Gold Chests, or obtained from the Pelt Trader. |-|Thorn Body=
Thorn Body
This Thorn Body grants the wearer a greater protection than the Iron Body and Alien Armour. Additionally, it redirects a small portion of damage to the attacker when the wearer is hit with a melee attack, similarly to Poison Armour. It can be found in Ruby Chests or can be crafted at the Tool Workshop. |-|Alien Armour=
Alien Armour
This type of armor grants the wearer a greater protection than the Iron Body. A special feature of this armor is that it regenerates the Alien Tech Energy when hit, with the higher damage the wearer receives, the more Alien Tech Energy regenerates. It can be found in Broken UFOs, Mothership UFOs and can be obtained from Alien Chests, during the Alien Invasion event. Players with the Cyborg Class spawn with it automatically equipped. |-|Obsidiron Body=
Obsidiron Body
The Obsidiron Body greatly reduces damage players receive (even greater than Iron Body) and creates an AoE explosion around the player after they take enough damage from enemies to fill a bar, which can be filled even further by taking damage with the Obsidiron Boots and attacking with the Obsidiron Hammer. The explosion deals ~50-60 damage to all nearby enemies and knocks them away from the player. The Obsidiron Armour can only be obtained through Obsidiron Chests and the Obsidiron Boots can be crafted at the Meteor Tool Workshop, during the Meteor Shower event. |-|Vampire Cloak=
Vampire Cloak
The Vampire Cloak protects the wearer from a decent amount of damage taken, but is not better than the Iron Body. A special meter, tagged "Blood Meter", appears above the wearer's hunger bar upon equipping this armor. During the night, the Blood Meter fills up passively, which heals about 25% of the wearer's HP upon filling up. However, the bar stops filling up when engaging in combat. It can only be found in Vampire Chests at the end of the Hedge Maze, during the Carnival event. Players with the Vampire Class spawn with it automatically equipped. |-|Riot Shield=
Riot Shield
The Riot Shield is a holdable armor-type item that reduces damage players receive when held. It can be obtained from Ruby Chests or can be crafted at the Tool Workshop.
