Neon & Mega Neon in Adopt Me — Every Stage Explained

Updated Jul 14, 2026

Neon and Mega Neon are Adopt Me's glow-up crafting system, and turning four ordinary pets into one glowing one is how the rarest pets are made. Here's exactly how it works and every neon stage in order.

How to make a Neon pet

You make a Neon at the Neon Cave, a glowing platform run by the NPC Nixie, located under the main bridge between Adoption Island and the Neighborhood.

  1. Raise four pets of the same species all the way to Full Grown.
  2. Place all four on the four glowing circles (three outer, one inner).
  3. They fuse into a single Neon pet that glows a colour unique to that species.

If any of the four pets could Fly or Ride, the Neon keeps those abilities.

The Neon aging stages (in order)

A fresh Neon re-ages through its own five stages, using the same task counts as normal aging:

  1. Reborn
  2. Twinkle
  3. Sparkle
  4. Flare
  5. Sunshine
  6. Luminous (fully grown Neon)

How to make a Mega Neon

Raise four Luminous (fully-aged) Neons of the same species, then fuse them at the Neon Cave again. The result is a Mega Neon that cycles through the rainbow. Some pets only cycle their own colours; you can re-tint a Mega with Mega Neon Pet Paints at the Salon. There is no tier past Mega Neon.

Pets that can't go Neon

A few pets can't be turned Neon or Mega — including the Pet Rock, Scoob, Pumpkin and Burtaur. Everything else is fair game.

Tip: making a Mega Neon needs 16 pets total (4 → 1 Neon, ×4 → 4 Neons → 1 Mega), so plan your trades around getting four-of-a-kind before you start aging.
