$150 for 1 use (in Supplies Shop); $250 for 3 uses (in Supplies Shop); itemimage: This Item becomes available for free at the start of Shift 4, and can be bought from the supplies shop for $150. This Item can also be found in a display box in the Reception Office. Similar to Coffee, this Item is renewable. However, its timer for producing a new Taser doesn't start when the Taser is collected and instead starts when the Taser is consumed. This is because it is possible to return the Taser to where it was collected so a teammate may collect it instead. The cool down to use the Taser is 180 seconds.

Strategy
It's best to save the taser from being used to tase an obvious anomaly by just using shutters to reject anomalies, and begin using it for more dire situation. Ghost can be tased, making them disappear. However, they cannot be fully removed and will keep respawning until the end of the game. You can check in Anomalies and tase them right after that to progress faster (will result in less Money paid). You can tase a Patient instead of giving them treatment, causing them to run out the hospital (helpful if the patient is in critical condition). Doing this, however, may cost you 15 sanity.
Trivia
Patients sitting in the waiting area of the hospital will faint when they're being tased. Tasing a recovered patient will kill them, resulting in an Animal Death penalty. When tasing a critical patient, the countdown will keep decreasing until the patient escapes, despawns, dies, or is put into a trash can. Barney and The Stalker cannot be tased or shot. Despite the visual shock effect of the taser lingering moments after clicking, this doesn't actually do anything, and you cannot run into the target to shock it if you missed and is rather an indicator that it is on cooldown.
