Appearance

The Reception Office is located between the Lobby and the hospital wings. Two check-in windows face the lobby, each fitted with metal shutters displaying the text "OUT OF SERVICE" in red. The shutters are controlled by a red button labeled "SHUTTERS," with a nearby sticky note reading "Use shutters to reject people." The office is accessed from the hallway through a wooden door with a glass window. The Reception Office has white ceramic tile flooring, gray walls with black sections above the doors and windows, a white drop ceiling, and two ceiling lights. A long L-shaped metal desk runs beneath both check-in windows. The desk has two G-Cam cameras mounted on small tripods, a stamp area for paperwork, a computer with a keyboard and mouse, a connected printer, and a cup with three pens. A monitor at the first check-in window displays the number of patients remaining during the shift. A bell is located at each check-in window for patients and visitors to ring while waiting to be checked-in. The back wall has a surveillance desk with a monitor mounted above a small metal table. The table has two telephones, a control panel, and two sticky notes, which read "Use the camera to detect anomalies" and "They hate photos..." Next to the surveillance desk is a display case that stores the Taser once it has been unlocked at the end of Shift 3. Against the right wall is a metal table holding a coffee machine, three empty mugs, and Chocolate, with two cardboard boxes stored beneath it. Nearby are two posters explaining the Sanity mechanic, with an gun on the floor below one of them.

Gameplay

At the Reception Office, players check-in patients and visitors by stamping their clipboard, photographing them with the G-Cam, registering them on the computer, and printing their ID badges before allowing them to enter the hospital. The G-Cam can reveal anomalies by filling the photo with static or exposing an anomaly's true identity. Patients and visitors place a clipboard on the desk to be stamped, while the bells at each check-in window ring periodically until they have been interacted with. The registration computer displays a "REGISTERING..." screen while processing a patient or visitor. Once registration is complete, the connected printer gives an ID badge, with a flashing green indicator and a beeping sound until the badge is collected. The surveillance monitor displays the operational status of the hospital's security cameras. Before the camera system is unlocked, it displays "CAMS OFFLINE." Once unlocked, it displays "ALL CAMS OPERATIONAL" if every camera is functioning, or "[#] CAMERA(S) DOWN" if one or more cameras are broken. Players can monitor the CHECK-IN, LOBBY, and MEDICAL cameras, while the EMERGENCY camera is unlocked during Shift 3. As players progress through the game, additional equipment becomes available. The Taser can be equipped from its display case once unlocked at Shift 3, while the Gun can be purchased for90-360 Robux from the gun located on the floor beneath the Sanity poster. Players can also restore their Sanity by consuming Coffee or Chocolate.
