Anime Expeditions Evolution Materials: Every Recipe and Where to Farm

Evolution consumes a documented list of materials and turns a base unit into a named advanced form. The wiki's unit data lists 13 recipes; every one of them is below, exactly as documented, with the material-farming chain that feeds them.

The Sprite crafting chain
Sprites are the shared currency of every recipe, and they form a documented chain:
- Sprite (Grey) is the foundation material. Mastery-mode runs pay 5 Sprite (Grey) per clear on each of the 5 story maps (Fairy King Forest, Flower Forest, King's Tomb, Rose Kingdom, School Grounds).
- Colored Sprites are crafted, not dropped: the wiki documents a 5× Sprite (Grey) recipe for the Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Yellow Sprites. Pink appears as an ingredient but has no documented recipe page of its own.
- Sprite (Rainbow) takes one Sprite of each color — Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Red and Yellow.
Counting it through: each documented colored Sprite is 5 Greys, so a single Rainbow represents at least 25 Greys across the five documented colors plus one Pink. A Secret-tier recipe wanting 3 Rainbows and 60 colored Sprites is therefore a long Mastery grind, and grey Sprites are worth banking from your first clears.
The unit-specific quest items
Most recipes also want one unique item — the wiki's item data types every one of them as a quest material: Burning Fruit, Cosmic Magic, Elixir of Life, Giant Hammer, Hollowed Visor, Holy Pendant, Joker of the Nonsensical Pirates, Puppet Heart, Salmon, Student ID. Their item pages list no drop location, so no stage or raid is documented as a farm for them — plan around the Sprites and Gold you can grind, and treat the unique item as its own errand.
Cost patterns worth knowing
Reading the table, the recipes group cleanly:
- The common shape — a unit-specific quest item, two 20-stacks of colored Sprites, 1 Rainbow and 5,000 Gold. 10 of the 13 recipes carry a quest item.
- Secret recipes (8th Sword, Shadow) skip the quest item but want more Sprites: three 20-stacks of colors, 3 Rainbows and 10,000 Gold.
- True Saint spreads its cost across six colors at 5 each instead of two stacks of 20.
Gold is the quiet constant — story clears, Infinite wave rewards and raid clears all pay it, so evolution gold accumulates while you farm everything else.
