Basic Bee is a Colorless Common bee. It is usually the first bee to be discovered and hatched. Basic Bee can be only hatched from a, a, or obtained through the currently unobtainable Basic Bee Jelly. It cannot be obtained from normal Royal Jelly or Star Jelly. Basic Bee's favorite treat is Sunflower Seed. Basic Bee likes the Sunflower Field, Clover Field, and Mountain Top Field. It dislikes the Spider Field.

Patch history
Basic Bee is the only type of Common bee. Due to the large number of appearances Basic Bee makes within the game and thumbnails, it is considered the main mascot of Bee Swarm Simulator. Basic Bee is one of three bees to have an official plushie on the Official Bee Swarm Simulator Website, the others being Tabby Bee and Vicious Bee. The statistics for all other bees are described in terms of their difference from Basic Bee’s statistics. For example, +20 collection means that the bee it's describing has collected 20 more pollen than Basic Bee. Basic Bee and Brave Bee are the only bees without abilities. However, if they are in their gifted forms, they still can produce Inspire tokens. And specific Beequips grants abilities like Focus or Melody tokens. Because of this, during Bee Bear's "Ability Token Tidings" quest Bee Bear refers to Basic Bee and Brave Bee as "Poor little merely mortal bees". Bee Bear also says they aren't magic due to this fact. Basic Bee and Event Bees are the only types of bee that cannot be obtained from a normal royal jelly since Basic Bee is a Common Bee. The code, "DontUseThisJelly" (expired) gave a Basic Bee jelly that could be used on a bee to transform any bee into a Basic Bee. Basic Bee and Demo Bee share the same skin color pattern when they are not in their gifted forms. Basic Bee and Honey Bee possess the same colors but in a different pattern.
