The Red Cannon is available for use once the player has discovered 25 bee types. It is located to the right of the hives, next to Black Bear, and near the Ticket Tent and the Blue Teleporter exit. It has a 5-second cooldown period. If the player has the Parachute or Glider, they can use it in combination with the Red Cannon in order to efficiently navigate around the map due to its large range. It gives access to various places that were once tedious or impossible to access, such as the Star Hall, going outside the map, or to collect most Royal Jelly tokens, like the one on top of the Mountain Top Shop and the one on top of the hives.
Patch history
The Red Cannon is the only differently modeled cannon as for the barrel, containing a hole at the top and having a crosshair at the end. It is one of the four cannons in the game, the other three cannons are the Yellow Cannon, Blue Cannon, and Gummy Cannon. This is one of the three transportational cannons in the game, which the other two cannons are Yellow Cannon and Blue Cannon. This cannon has the biggest range of all the cannons in the game. It is the transportation method that requires the largest amount of discovered bee types to be used. The Red Cannon has a cooldown of 5 seconds. While this is not normally possible to see during regular gameplay as the cannon launches the player too far to return in 5 seconds, the cooldown can be seen by using the Glider/Parachute glitch to stop all momentum as soon as the player exits the cannon. This cooldown is shared by all the transportational cannons. On game release, the cannon could be used by discovering 20 bee types. In the 2018-04-27 update, it was changed to 22 bee types. In the 2018-11-25 update, it was changed to 25 bee types and has remained that way since. It is the only cannon to not launch the player into the Starter Zone, it instead launches the player to the Mountain Top Field, as the cannon is already in the Starter Zone. On the game release, players could launch themselves from the Red Cannon to the Mountain Top Field even if they didn't have 25 bees in their hive. This has been patched. When combined with a Glider, this is commonly used as the best transportation method to go anywhere on the map.
