Appearance

Gourdy is a young, anthropomorphic pumpkin. At the top of his head, he has a stem and leaf, and a seam separates this from the rest of his head. He sports a fanged grin, and his eyes are uniquely distinct in that he has a black sclera and white pupil, resembling the carved eyes of a jack-o'-lantern. He has large paws for hands, with four claws on each hand, and a long, slim tail (which is curved in-game), with a leaf on the tip. His head, torso, and hands are orange, while his arms, legs, claws, and tail are green. His legs gradient into a darker green, matching the tail, and have 6 slim stripes of the original green, resembling a pumpkin vine.

Personality

Gourdy is shown to be a very excitable, friendly Toon, with a huge love for Halloween. However, he is also shown to be quite insecure, as he constantly misses his parents, evidenced by the drawings of them in his bedroom, his Trinket, and his Gossip dialogues. It is also possible that the expectations placed upon him as a Toon despite being a child plays a factor in this. Gourdy demonstrably idolizes the Main Character Toons, perhaps even seeing them as superior to him, an example being his dialogue with and his gossip about Shelly revealing his deep admiration for the Toons. His room even features plush toys of all the Main Characters, further supporting this. Gourdy also seems to be polite and well-mannered, as evidenced in his dialogue where he frequently addresses other Toons as Mr. or Ms., and calls the Mains by their last names, unless instructed otherwise. Despite this he tries to like but doesn't seem to like her as much as the other Mains as seen with his gossip about her. In one of Gourdy's gossip dialogues about Toodles, he seems to be trying to hide how upset he is as he talks about. He clearly cares more about his friend now that he can't even remember his parents, so it's likely interacting with Toodles comforts him since they are both children and therefore relate more to each other. He speaks about not seeing her often but tries to stay upbeat and happy about it, though you can clearly sense his anxiety and fear of losing her.

Requirement Strategies

For the first and second requirements, focus on picking up Research Capsule/Pumpkin and extracting Machine. The Machine, Capsule and Pumpkin count increases the further you descend, so you can earn more Ichor and Pumpkins. For the third requirement, have a Distractor Toon bring to the elevator to you so you can get aggro. Playing as also helps getting Research faster because of his Passive Ability. This will be easier if Twisted Gourdy is on the Daily Twisted Board.

Strategies

With max extraction thanks to 5 in both Skill Check and Extraction Speed (tied with ), alongside 4 Star Movement Speed and 1 Star Stealth, Gourdy is suitable for almost any role, being an amazing and extremely versatile all-rounder. His only genuine con is his 1 Star Stamina (and his 1 Star Stealth if you intend to play him as an extractor, since you could interfere with your distractor often), but this can be easily mitigated with or simply good Stamina management, especially if you have played Toons with similar Stats, and the 1 Star Stealth can be a non-factor by being aware of how to manage Twisteds. Gourdy's Active Ability, functions similarly to Active Ability, however it is slightly more potent (+5% extra compared to Beginner's Luck) and gives the boost to surrounding teammates within a small radius instead of boosting himself, in addition to it having an extra 10 seconds of cooldown. Unlike most random-effect abilities, it will actually show what the effect is (at least on your target's screen) making it easier to figure out what to do with the buff. His Ability's randomness means it shouldn't be fully relied on to help teammates (ex. giving Skill Check to a Toon being chased), but it is still a helpful tool if you roll something good for your team. Also note his radius is quite small, so you have to practically hug your target, but his 1 Star Stealth can help if you want to boost a teammate who is being chased by taking aggro away from them.

Patch history

Gourdy and are the only Toons to have permanent 5 in two Stats. This gives them the highest extractability in-game. They are also the only Toons to have 1 Star in two Stats. This is an exception to, who used to have 5 Stars in two Stats, before having 1 Star moved. Gourdy's last name is Holloway, confirmed in various dialogues from him. His last name is a mix on the words Holiday and Halloween. It is also similar to the surname "Halloway". His last name is also in one of the Show's Episode titles being called "Holloway Haunting". He is the first Event Toon to have his last name revealed immediately after his release. His last name was revealed by his dialogues and the "Holloway Haunting" Poster, meanwhile Bobette and 's last names were revealed in Qwel's livestreams. Gourdy is the second Toon to be a child, with the first being. Gourdy and Toodles are also friends, which makes sense considering they are both children and therefore would likely relate to each other more and/or have similar interests. Additionally, he is the first Main Character to be a child. Gourdy is the second Toon to have eyes that do not have white sclerae and black pupils, with the first being. Gourdy is the only Toon to have inset eyes. This makes him as if he's looking at the viewer's perspective from multiple angles. This might have been inspired by the pre-release version of. Gourdy is the only Event Main Character Toon whose Mastery does not include reaching Floor 20.
