Appearance

Twisted Soulvester, unlike his Toon counterpart, has a ghost-like tail with a gray-cyan gradient, and the black cloth he wears is now ripped. His ponytail is a darker green with the tip being a shade of black, while retaining his helmet, armor and gloves. His eyes now have red sclerae and star-shaped pupils inside the irises, and having five red lines that resemble a frown. But upon hearing a failed Skill Check or entering a chase, his expression becomes more resentful, with the eyelids being colored in a dark cyan shade, which can also be seen when blinking. He also carries his sword with the tip being covered in Ichor, which can also be seen in his render image.

Strategies

Twisted Soulvester is not necessarily a hard Twisted to deal with, as his low speed makes escapes easier. The main problems are his attention span, which might make you waste a lot of time and stamina shaking him off (Unless you are a 4/5 Movement Speed Toon) and his idling spots, making finishing and/or extracting a Machine very time consuming. However, you can try watching his path and escaping to find other Machines to do if you notice him approaching yours, or just wait him out by hiding behind a nearby obstacle or island. If you are distracting, his low speed and high attention span makes it easy to distract him, but note he may lag behind. Note that, even after luring Twisted Soulvester away from your machine, upon losing his aggro, it's entirely plausible that he can return to that exact same machine. When you can't find the last Machine(s), you could try following him, as he always idles at them, reducing the time needed to find them. Do note that if you get too close, he might aggro on you and redirect to another Machine.

Patch history

Twisted Soulvester's mechanic may be based off how knights guard important valuables from danger. It could also reflect being able to possess Machines, with him trying to mimic her/try to meet her, but can't due to him already possessing a suit of armor. Twisted Soulvester is currently the only Twisted in the game that does not follow the regular pathing rules of other Twisteds, pathing to Machines instead. Twisted Connie also does this, but only when she is about to possess a Machine. Twisted Soulvester is one of the 4 Twisteds to be holding an object, first being, the second being, and the third being. Of these four, Twisted Soulvester is the only Twisted to not be, being instead. Additionally, he is currently the only Twisted to hold an object with a Toon counterpart that does not, being his Trinket instead. His slow speed and high attention span may reference 's extreme version of this, as they are both Uncommons. Twisted Soulvester's sword is covered in Ichor, possibly signifying that there is Ichor in the Toons since he uses his sword as a weapon. This is further proven by Toons exploding into a black liquid upon their death, though there is a chance it could be something else. It could also just be some Ichor from another unknown source spilled onto it instead of remnants of a Toon's injuries. The five lines on Twisted Soulvester's face is most likely his mouth, despite him not having one visually in his Toon counterpart's design. These lines on his mouth are probably cuts during the Ichor operation.
