Leviathan is an Exotic fish found in the Cultist Lair.
The Leviathan is a Exotic fish obtainable at the Cultist Lair at the Sanctum. It can only be obtained during a special event. Due to its high rarity, it makes it a very challenging catch, moving erratically across the fishing bar and inflicting a -95% progress speed, with it being unaffected in most ways. When hooked, a appears above the user’s head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all fish.

Obtainment
The Leviathan is only obtainable by spawning it inside the Cultist Lair, specifically the Sanctum. First, you will need to unlock the Sanctum. Secondly, you will need different types of Cathulids and Cathuliths with different mutations to activate the hunt. Those being: Solarblaze Cathulid Nova Cathulith Rainbow Cluster Cathulid Aurora Cathulith Purified Cathulith OR Purified Cathulid Placing them on each of their own pedestals will activate the Leviathan Hunt. Alternatively, it can be spawned with Disturbance, with it guaranteed at 100,000 disturbance. The hunt lasts for 20 minutes.
Ability
Similarly to the, the Leviathan has an ability (named “Whip”), where when progress is above 50%, there is a 15% chance every 4 seconds to reduce the bar of the rod by 60% for 3 seconds, and take away 35% of the current progress This can be done a maximum of 3 times.

The Leviathan and the Profane Leviathan are the 2nd and 3rd fishes that have an ability. The first being the Scylla. When a Leviathan uses its ability, you can use Fabulous Rod passive to get most of your control back. During the Shamrock Seas event, the Caths could be submitted with the Lucky Gold mutation to increase the odds of spawning a Shamrock Leviathan by 20% for each submission.
