Overview[1]
Scylla is a Secret catch in Fisch, found around Mariana's Veil (Veil of the Forsaken).
Scylla is a fish which can be caught in the Veil of the Forsaken, which is the fifth and final area in Mariana's Veil, after defeating the Scylla Boss. When reeling it in, -95% Progress Speed is applied. The catch rate is not fixed, so use lucky rods like Ethereal Prism Rod. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all fish. The Scylla will despawn after 15 minutes if not caught. When a Scylla is caught, a message in chat will say "[Scylla Hunt]: (user who caught the Scylla) Has Caught The Scylla!"

Notes
It is highly recommended to use Leviathan's Fang Rod for the passives +50% and +4% Progress Speed when reeling in the Scylla. When using the Leviathan's Fang Rod, the player can also use the slashes ability to increase progress and be able to use the Steady/Blessed Song enchantments. Besides the before mentioned Leviathan's Fang Rod, the Silly Fun Happy Rod and the Overclocked enchantment, which increases progress speed of all fishes by +5%, there are no other cases where the Scylla's Progress Speed can be affected, including any Progress Speed buffs or enchants such as Steady.

What does this mean?
Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Patch history
It is the sixth ever fish to have its own hunt. This Fish has an ability (which is Biting in this case, a 10% chance when above 50% reeling progress) to lower the rod's bar by 20% for 9 seconds. This Fish's biting ability also reduces reeling progress by 20%. There was supposed to be a rarer version of the Scylla, which was its ancient variant. It was then removed right before the update. The Ancient Scylla is speculated to still be released, as there is a Scylla's Wrath Totem in game currently as a placeholder. A single Scylla could get a Level 1 player up to Level 72. If a player were to catch the Scylla with a Perfect Catch, Double Exp Gamepass, Clever Enchant, and Double Exp Weekend it would take them from level 1 to 267, which is over a quarter of the way to level 1000 and half-way to getting the No-Life Rod. The Scylla is wounded and does not have one head, with a tentacle on the base of the neck from the Great Dreamer. There used to be a theory that the Leviathan's Fang Rod was made from the bones of the fallen Scylla head. This Theory was proven false in the 1.24.0 update when Cthulhu was seen holding Scylla's Missing Head. Another theory is the missing Scylla's Head Is The Sea Leviathan. If a player has not beaten the Scylla boss fight, they can jump on the Scylla’s neck, which will cause it to follow and spin. If the player let the Scylla kill them while on its neck, the Scylla will freeze as well as the music. Then the Scylla will be in the middle and have collision, allowing the player to walk over it, though it is slightly buggy.
