The Resin is a Secret fish obtained at Mushgrove Swamp. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, inflicting a 20% reduction on the progress bar speed, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all Secret fish.

This fish has a base chance of 0.028% being caught (1/3751). Like the other Secret fish, stacking luck boosts (i.e. Merlin Luck, Server Luck, Auroras) will greatly improve your odds of catching this fish. Also, note that Aurora Borealis makes the chances of getting The Resin 1/300. 3 Resins are required to craft the Water Bubble with the Bubble Mermaid NPC. Although there is no preferred bait, it is recommended to use Weird Algae because of its high universal luck. Using Kraken Rod provides you with a 10% chance to double the caught fish making it a good rod to use for Resin farming.
