Aurora Borealis is a weather event in Fisch. 0.54% · naturally / Aurora Totem · 7× Luck.; Enhances Aurora Rod's passive.; Aurora (1%).
The Aurora Borealis is a Server Event that significantly boosts all players', with a massive 7x boost that lasts throughout the night. It can be activated using the Aurora Totem, which can be purchased for 500,000C$ C$ in the Brine Pool, the Personal Aquarium, or for 400,000C$ C$ from the Daily Shop. It can also occur naturally at night, at a 1 in 169 chance (~0.6%) During the Aurora Borealis, the Aurora Rod can be bought all the way at the top of the Vertigo. The rod can be bought for 90,000C$ C$ (Total cost of 590,000C$ C$ if you bought the Aurora Totem) at Synth, to the right of the entrance to Vertigo's dip. It also increases the chances for an Aurora mutation by 15% if using an Aurora Rod or Aurora Bait (which altogether with the bait and rod give the player a 45% Aurora mutation chance). It also provides a low chance for the user to catch Aurora fishes.

Notes
The boost from an Aurora Borealis is additive, meaning the 7x (+600% = 700% total, from 100%, 700% is 7x) does not stack with other such as server. The Aurora Borealis does not boost your odds of getting higher rarity pearls from Clams. Trying to use any Totem (excluding the Meteor, Blizzard and Avalanche totems) over an Aurora Borealis would be declined previous to 1.86, where they made server events seperate to weather. Private server owners, however, could skip Aurora Borealis as of Version 1.57, this can still be done using sundial totems, but no longer using other weather totems
Trivia
There was a glitch in the game (as of 1.08.1) that allowed the Aurora Totem to be used as another player uses the Sundial Totem, hence the Aurora Totem could be used at the last second of night to trigger the Aurora Borealis during the day. The player is rewarded the badge "Experienced True Beauty" if the event begins naturally while the player is in the server.
