Sea Leviathan

ExtinctFishFisch14.4K C$

Overview[1]

Sea Leviathan is an Extinct catch in Fisch, found around Open Ocean — sells for about 4 C$ per kg. In-game bestiary: “A swift and deadly predator of the fog, elusive and nearly untouchable in its element.”

The Sea Leviathan is an Extinct fish obtainable in the Open Ocean in the Second Sea. It spawned as a random event, and when reeling it in, -90% Progress Speed would be applied. It had a cutscene when caught. When hooked, a (light red tick) would pop above the player's head, and a shimmering sound played - as with all Extinct fish. The fish is now Extinct

Catching Quips:

A SEA LEVIATHAN! A SHADOW IN THE MIST! THE FEROCITY OF A STORM!

Notes:

The Sea Leviathan was able to spawn at the Isle of New Beginnings, Emberreach or Lushgrove. There was a server announcement when the Sea Leviathan spawned in, mentioning the nearest island it spawned at, while also leaving pink blocks in the ocean to roughly indicate it's path. The Sea Leviathan has a similar spawn process as the Blue Whales. Requiring Sundial, Tempest/Windset and Smokescreen Totems, as the Sea Leviathan had a 5% chance of spawning during night whenever there was fog. Like the Scylla, the Sea Leviathan's Progress Speed cannot be reduced with the Steady or Blessed Song Enchantments, or the Tempest Rod and Challenger's Rod's passive abilities. But some may experience a weird bug/feature that allows he Blessed Song enchantment to affect the progress speed if the rod is debuffed. The Sea Leviathan could be caught by multiple people at once. This Fish is now Extinct due to the Continental Drift Update

Other Uses:

The Sea Leviathan was also used to remove the Debuff that applies a -50% penalty to all fishing rods from the First Sea. This effect could be cleansed at the Anti Debuff Altar, located on a mysterious and dangerous region known as The Cursed Shores. To remove the debuff, three powerful items were required: the Sea Leviathan, the Cursed Thread, and the Moon Idol Sea 2. They would all be gathered to break the curse and restore the player's gear to full power — only then would the player be free to fish without limits once more.

What does this mean?

Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Trivia

This fish was just a floating Scylla head in the ocean, similar to how they appear. The Amber mutation would not show properly on the Sea Leviathan. The Sea Leviathan was only able to spawn once in new servers, and would not spawn when someone had already caught one in that same server. BoxStyle| BoxStyle
