The Tempest Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained in Atlantis for 500,000 C$ after Level 80.
The Tempest Rod is an Early to Mid-game rod obtained for 500,000C$ C$ in Atlantis. The player needs to be Level 80 to purchase the rod. Because of its buff, the rod's best and most noticeable stats are its and and a passive that gives a +15% progress speed while catching fish. This rod is mainly used for XP as the high, +15% progress speed, and, allowing for perfect catches easily. It also lures in rare catches often with its and. It's arguably better than No-Life Rod in terms of efficiency and Fish XP overall and can be comparable to the Seraphic Rod/Challenger's Rod. The rod bears a tempest appearance, hence its name, with streaks of lightning patterns all across the rod. It even has smaller lighting bolts protruding on the reel of the rod, with an overall sky blue and white color pattern, representing that of a light storm.

Obtainment
To obtain this rod, the player must go through and complete The Sunken Trials in Atlantis. It is recommended that the player completes the puzzle with another player; one to stay behind at the code panel, and the other to swim inside the underwater maze. (However, it can be completed easily by one player.) Inside the maze are a few directions the player can take, but one of them leads to a stone circle with 5 sigils scattered inside of it. The player can click on each of these sigils and make them light up. ---- When the player underwater lights up all the sigils, the player by the code panel will see a sequence of blue sigils appear above the panel. They need to remember this order, and select the correct order of sigils onto the code panel. If they get it right, a door inside the maze opens up and leads both players into the fishing area with another clock puzzle and the Tempest Rod that can be bought for 500,000C$ C$. If they get the code wrong, a buzzer sound will play, and they'll need to light up the sigils again in the correct order. The correct symbol for the wheel is the Blue Harp if the player wishes to progress a step further in unlocking the Kraken Pool.
Enchantments
The Tempest Rod's recommended enchantments are: For C$ C$, Abyssal or preferably Quantum. Note that Quantum is an exalted enchant, and will require Exalted Relics. To catch fish more easily and quickly: Steady, Piercing, and Blessed Song. Note that Piercing is an exalted enchant, and will require Exalted Relics. Note that Blessed Song requires a Song of the Deep relic, obtained from Captain Ahab for a Moby. For XP: Insight or preferably Clever. (Insight: 1.5x XP) (Clever: 2.25x XP)

Comparing the Tempest Rod with the Seraphic Rod against a normal fish. Note that both rods have the Steady enchantment. As seen in the GIFs, the Seraphic Rod beats the Tempest Rod by a slight margin. Stat wise, the Seraphic Rod has better, and than the Tempest Rod. However, the Tempest Rod has 20% more than the Seraphic Rod. Overall, the Seraphic Rod is better than the Tempest Rod. However, since the Tempest Rod can be easily obtained, it can be one of the best end-game rods as of Version 1.18.0.

While the Seraphic Rod over outperforms the Tempest Rod, it's important to note that if you lose progress, the Seraphic Rod will be slower. This is because the Tempest Rod offers +15% progress speed and 20% more, making it more efficient against fish that reduce progress speed, such as a Crown Bass. However, the Challenger's Rod is very similar to the Tempest Rod, the Challenger's Rod has a +20% progress speed passive (5% more than Tempest), and 0.05 more than Tempest. Tempest has a slight edge to it however, with +10% more and.

This rod shares similar stats as the No-life Rod. Pairing this with the Steady enchantment + the Sockeye Salmon progress speed (+20% progress speed) will give you a whopping 55% progress speed making it faster than Voyager Rod's laser cannon ability. The Tempest Rod was added in the Atlantis update alongside other pricey rods in the update.
