Obtainment
The player needs to point all mirrors towards the seal until they all reflect and play each instrument found around the area until the cutscene of the door to Apollo's Sunshot opening shows. Then the player needs to finish the bestiary. To spawn the Helios Sunray, the player has to wait for a Solar Chorus event (or get someone to use Apollo's Sunshot which has disturbance), where the player needs to fish near the eight tablets to make them glow and then catch 25 legendaries to summon the Helios Sunray and catch it to spawn the Apollo’s Sunshot near the tree. Do note that it must be in a Solar Chorus for the rod to spawn.
Passives
While fishing, there will be a visible "Charge Meter" above the fishing bar: Holding an input will cause the Charge Meter to accumulate Charge During day: 1.5x more charge is gained Fills ~0.5% of the Charge Meter every second During Night: 0.5x charge is gained When the Charge Meter reaches 100%, gain +9% progress, and a 40% chance for the fish to become Sunlit Fishes that get turned Sunlit will also be slowed by 50% for 3 seconds. This passive is extremely similar to the Maelstrom Rod and Cupid's Bow.
