Candy Cane Rod

RodsFisch1.5K C$

Overview[1]

The Candy Cane Rod is a Stage 1 Event-exclusive Fishing Rod obtained in the Winter Village for 1,500 C$ during the Fischmas 1 event.

The Candy Cane Rod was a limited Rod in Fisch, that could've been obtained by entering the "Santa's Workshop" in the Winter Village from the Fischmas Event 2024. Its performance stats are modest, making it suitable primarily for early-game use. Its capabilities are slightly superior to the Flimsy Rod and arguably comparable to the Plastic Rod. In the later stages of the game, its primary utility lies in collecting Festive Driftwood, a material essential for crafting the Krampus's Rod.

Passive

The Candy Cane Rod comes with a unique passive ability that gives a 10% chance for all fish caught to be Festive. These Festive fish typically yield higher in-game value and may contribute to special event-related rewards or crafting materials.

Enchanting

Enchanting the Candy Cane Rod is generally not recommended due to its limited base stats. if the goal is to gather Festive Driftwood efficiently, applying the Swift or Hasty enchantments can improve its performance. Other good enchantments for this rod are: Herculean/Unbreakable to catch bigger fish and have a chance at mutating them with Festive Mystical/Resilient to increase its low resilience

What does this mean?

Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Trivia

While being extremely cheap for the low cost of only, the rod has extremely lackluster stats, and it's mutation passive is considered inefficient, given that you only earn about 1.2x more with it. This is one of the few limited rods in the game that could've been bought with credits instead of being obtained through quests or items.
