The best enchantments for this rod are: To catch fish more easily and/or for perfect catches, Controlled, Resilient or Mystical. For improvement, Lucky, Divine, or best of all, Immortal. Note that Immortal is an exalted enchant, and will require, which are better used on late-game rods. Other alternatives are: For faster times, Swift or preferably Hasty.

The Midas Rod serves its purpose as a more affordable and reliable alternative to the Mythical Rod, at the expense of having less earning abilities and being more challenging to use. This rod can be considered a direct upgrade to the Rapid Rod, given the similarities in their stats and playstyles. If paired with the right Enchants and/or Baits, this rod is capable of instantly hooking fish. It is recommended to use resilience-boosting baits such as Bagels, Seaweed, or Corals.
