The Sunken Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained from Treasure Chests with a 1.6% chance or after opening 50 Treasure Chests.
The Sunken Rod is a unique mid-game rod with moderate stats, obtained with a 1.6% or 1/62.5 chance from Treasure Chests. It is guaranteed to be obtained if the user have opened 50 or more chests, or opens their 50th chest. It functions as a greatly improved means of catching Treasure Maps. For every 10 catches, the chances of catching a Treasure map increases by 25%. This continues until the player catches one, then the chances are reset. After 230 catches, the chances for a treasure map to be caught are guaranteed. It isn't particularly recommended for Fishing, rather it is best suited for accumulating Treasure Maps to use for Treasure Hunting to collect loot. It does however, have better stats than the Mythical Rod, and can be a decent mid game rod. It also has a unique passive of having a 8% chance to apply the Sunken mutation, increasing the value of fish caught by 4.5x (450%).

Enchanting
The rod's best enchants are: For faster lure times to pair with the treasure map chance increasing passive, Swift or preferably Hasty. You can also use a bait like Rapid Catcher or Instant Catcher, and instead put Scavenger on the rod. Other alternatives are: For catching heavier fish, Unbreakable, or preferably Herculean. Note that Herculean is an exalted enchantment, and will require, which are better used on late-game rods. For Fabulous Deity's third and fourth quest, Invincible (Cosmic) is needed to catch Spectral Serpent and Scylla, paired with an Exalted or Normal enchant relic.
