Description

Classic Castle was the fifth and final map of The Classic Event. It has been made available again through the Sandbox mode. Like other event maps, this map has a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Triumphing this map rewarded the player with 1 Token, alongside the Guest Scout skin and the Classic Nametag. There was also on the map, which could be found in the upper left corner of the map. This map has a premade loadout. It consists of the Guest Golden Scout, Engineer, Accelerator, Ranger and Mortar. Skins could not be applied to these towers without the use of bugs, though this is not the case in Sandbox mode. This map had four modifiers. The first was Enemies Beta, which changes the appearance of some enemies. The second was Classic Roblox, which activated the next two modifiers on the map. The third modifier was Classic Oof, which made enemies play the old Roblox death sound. The fourth was Retro Death, which made enemies collapse into multiple pieces upon death. When activated in Sandbox mode, only Classic Oof and Retro Death are applied.

Design & Path

Classic Castle takes place in a castle surrounded by hills and castle walls. The terrain is grassy, with multiple hills placed on the map. There are multiple houses on the maps, alongside a black tower in the middle. The black path starts and ends at a medieval castle gate. The path itself rotates around a large hill with a tower on it. The map slowly got corrupted, turning parts of the map into a dark black color, and making other objects float in the sky. By Wave 2, parts of the map exploded. By Wave 6, rain begin to fall down onto the map. By Wave 7, yellow lightning bolts struck down onto the map. By Wave 8, the skybox was changed to a red and black pattern that constantly turned. This no longer happens in Sandbox mode.

Event Rewards

The game calculated how many Coins Coins and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned was multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplied any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. Any rewards that ended in a decimal point were rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal. Rewards were calculated as: There were also a few badges which could be obtained when playing this map, which may have had additional rewards alongside the badge. These were

Wave Structure

Wave bonus is calculated as: 100 + (Waves Completed × 1,500)^0.99 At Waves 11 and 13, the wave bonus is 200,000. Wave clear bonus is 35% of the wave bonus. Bolded names indicates an enemy type's debut. Event Wave Structure ---- Sandbox Wave Structure

Strategy

The Golden Scout and Engineer can be clear out enemies that appear early on quite easily. Using the Engineer may be more beneficial, as it is usable throughout the entire match, instead of just the early game. The Engineer, Accelerator and Ranger are all useful later on, due to their high DPS. The Ranger can be especially useful do its stun immunity and high range, allowing it to easily cover most of the map. The Accelerator may be less useful due to it being able to be stunned and there not having many good ground spots. You may use the Mortar to clear out early hordes, though you should not use it later on when you get a lot of cash. It is recommended to not skip waves 11 and 13 and try to kill all the enemies that spawn, because you get a huge amount of wave clear bonus to get multiple expensive towers in your loadout.
