Description

Classic Forest Camp was the third challenge map of The Classic Event. It has been made available again through the Sandbox mode. Like other event maps, this map has a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Triumphing this map rewarded the player with 1 Token. There was also on the map, which could be found near the enemy entrance. This map has premade loadout. It consists of the Cowboy, Militant, Pyromancer, Mortar and Minigunner. Golden perks and skins could not be applied to these towers without the use of bugs, though this is not the case in Sandbox mode. This map had four modifiers. The first was Enemies Beta, which changed the appearance of some enemies. The second was Classic Roblox, which activated the next two modifiers on the map. The third modifier was Classic Oof, which made enemies play the old Roblox death sound. The fourth was Retro Death, which made enemies collapse into multiple pieces upon death. When activated in Sandbox mode, only Classic Oof and Retro Death are applied.

Design & Path

Classic Forest Camp takes place in a forest surrounded by hills. There are multiple trees scattered on this map. There is a watchtower near the path. Wooden fences can be seen next to the path. There are also multiple cliffs, which countas cliff spots. The black path starts and ends at two caves. The map slowly corrupted, turning parts of the map into a dark black color, and making other objects float in the sky. By Wave 7, yellow lightning bolts struck down on the map. This no longer happens in Sandbox mode.

Event Rewards

The game calculated how many Coins Coins and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned was multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplied any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. Any rewards that ended in a decimal point were rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal. Rewards were calculated as: There were also a few badges which could be obtained when playing this map, which may have had additional rewards alongside the badge. These were

Strategy

Avoid skipping too many waves just for the cash. You can place a few Cowboys to help with gaining income, but they should not be a main damage source. Avoid using Pyromancer, as multiple enemies on this map are immune to burn or have high health, making it much less effective. Its defense dropping capabilities can be very useful though, so you may want at least one Level 3 Pyromancer. Start with placing multiple level 2 Militants as they can help clear out the waves of enemies and have early hidden detection. Later on, upgrade them only to Level 3, as it is more cost effective than Level 4 Militants. Once you have a decent amount of Militants place two Mortars on the outpost tower in the middle. Try and upgrade them to Level 3 and later on upgrade them to Level 5. You can place Minigunners at around Wave 6, but make sure not to place too many, as they are very costly. You can start placing more later on.
