Description

Hot Spot is an Insane map that takes place on a desolated wasteland with open vents around it.

Design & Path

Hot Spot is a desert-like wasteland map featuring multiple lava lakes formed by leaking pipes, and scattered debris including broken lampposts, electrical poles, pipes and industrial wreckage. There are two buildings on this map, one is a burning building with a broken roof and lava visible on the inside and a small boarded up gas station. The entrances start at: The Middle Entrance is a glowing green portal with a digital appearance. The Left Entrance is a dilapidated gas station with windows barricaded by wooden planks. The Right Entrance is a metal building emitting flames from its broken roof. They all end at an entrance to an underground vault.

Rewards

The game calculates how many Coins Coins, Gems Gem and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map. Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Strategy

Towers should be placed either around the middle of the map or the back, as it allows for towers to cover all three paths. The intersection at the back may be more ideal for towers with really low range, such as the Warden or Shotgunner, as they are unlikely to cover three paths otherwise. Due to how large the area of this map is, high range or ability to move their range, such as the Ranger, Pursuit, Brawler or Gatling Gun can be quite useful here. The DJ Booth can be used to boost the range of your towers, making covering all the paths far easier.
