Appearance

The Arctic Fox is mostly white, but its nose, underbelly, and the tips and inside of its ears are grey. It has four black paws and a bushy white tail.

Behavior

The Arctic Fox will wander aimlessly until a player gets within its detection radius, damages it, or if a nearby Arctic Fox is damaged by a player. Once angered, it will run towards the player and attack them when in range. It will stop when all players have left its detection radius. They often hunt in packs and once enraged will team up on the player.

Tips & tricks

• Arctic Fox Pelts can be used to craft a Beanie, or an Arctic Fox Hat, and could have contributed to the now removed "Knitting" badge. • The Arctic Fox can easily be killed with Melee Weapons by specific strategies, since their attack range is quite small. • It is recommended to deal with Arctic Foxes one by one using a ranged weapon, as they always attack in groups once aggravated.

Trivia

• Like the Wolves, Arctic Foxes can get stuck on small structures and even buildings. • Arctic Foxes are considered to be one of the most annoying entities in the game, due to it being really fast and capable of dealing high damage in a group. • Its idle sounds include yipping noises. • In real life, arctic foxes are usually shy and are skittish. Upon seeing humans, they will quickly flee. They also do not live in groups and are known as solitary hunters. • However, despite them being solitary, they live in family groups in the summertime and stay together to find food and nurse their pups. • Sometimes, Arctic Foxes can appear in The Forest and go out of the Snow Biome.
