Overview
The Furniture Trader will periodically spawn in a random location on the map. He will sell players Furniture for Mossy Coins. He travels with the Horse. The horse can be killed for 1-2 steak and makes the furniture cart disappear, but you can still trade with him.
Patch history
In an interview Alec Kieft revealed that the Furniture Trader's official name is Tyrese and his favourite food is strawberries. The Furniture Trader was added on 7/11/25 in the Furniture Update. The Furniture Trader is the only NPC so far to have an animal companion (the Horse). Even if the Horse is killed, he can still sell furniture even though the cart disappears. The Furniture Trader pulls the cart instead of the Horse in the furniture update cutscene. Maybe the Horse took a vacation. Who knows? The Furniture Trader was the first NPC to not be related or have a badge at all. If you unlock extra furniture via the rewards tab, you will have to buy them from The Furniture Trader.
