Overview & Appearance

The Fuel Canister is a powerful Fuel source, rated 🔥🔥🔥. It is used for fueling the Campfire and for being used as Ammo for the Flamethrower. It appears as a classic red gasoline can with a silky, shiny black cap. The Fuel Canister can usually first be found at Campfire level 3 and gets more common at Campfire Level 4. The Fuel Canister can be found in most structures, hence why it becomes so common after Campfire Level 4.

Obtainment

The Fuel Canister, although widespread, can be found in many ways. This is most likely the easiest way to obtain Fuel Canisters. Fuel Canisters reside in all sorts of Common Structures. An example would be the Wooden Shed or Medium Cabin. All possible Fuel Canister locations can be found on the right side of the page labelled: Source. (Note: This is only consistently possible after Campfire Level 4 due to how Uncommon Items, such as the Fuel Canister, spawn more frequently in areas further from the Campfire). A more uncommon way to obtain Fuel Canisters, however viable enough to put here. Common-Ice Chests contain Fuel Canisters located inside of them. You just need to get lucky enough for a Fuel Canister to show up in them. Good Chests are the best Chests for Fuel Canisters to be in as they have a higher chance of containing one, and all of the needed resources such as Good Sack and Good Axes can be found in Common Chests.

Trivia

Fuel Canisters are the only Fuel source to be found in Event Chests at the moment. Fuel Canisters could've been obtained from trading feathers from The Owl with the Bird Watcher, however this NPC has been removed since 8/15/2025., Category:Fuel Category:Ammunition
