The Good Axe is the middle step between the starting Old Axe and the Strong Axe. It cuts an ordinary tree in about five hits instead of thirteen and can also damage creatures or break ice around chests.
How to get it
Get it from the Pelt Trader's first trade, Common or Good Chests, or start with one as the Lumberjack class.

Where to find it
The Pelt Trader's first exchange and Common or Good Chests can provide a Good Axe. Lumberjack players begin with this tier instead of the usual Old Axe.
Cutting speed
The axe wiki lists five hits to fell a normal tree, or four after an Axe Trim Kit upgrade. It can break the ice around an Ice Chest, though that takes several strikes. It is a practical early upgrade before finding a Strong Axe.
