The Fire Extinguisher is an Item that becomes available for free at the start of Shifts 3, and can be found to the right of the Supplies Shop. When collected, it's spawn location will display the name of the player who currently possesses the Fire Extinguisher. Only one player can hold the Fire Extinguisher at one time. You can place it back in it's spawn location so others can take it, and so it can recharge at a rate of 1% every 2 second. When used, it erratically fires white balls in front of the player that disappear after about 1 second.

Usage
The Fire Extinguisher can be found outside of the Supplies Shop. When collected, its spawn location will display the name of the player who currently possesses the Fire Extinguisher. Only one player can hold the Fire Extinguisher at one time. You can place it back in its spawn location so others can take it, and it will recharge at a rate of 1% every 2 seconds when it is missing charge. When used, it erratically fires white balls in front of the player that disappear after 1 second. These white balls can be used to put out any Rooms on Fire or any Patients on fire and is the fastest way to do both. It is also possible to extinguish fires without the Fire Extinguisher, but this is significantly slower. The Fire Extinguisher can be used to eliminate Hiders, Anomalies and Slime puddles. The fire extinguisher can also reveal where Ghosts are.
Patch history
From the June 17, 2026 update to the 27 June, 2026 update, allowing the Fire Extinguisher's Charge to reach 0% didn't actually prevent the Fire Extinguisher from being used or from putting out fires. The Fire Extinguisher Item functions similarly to the Roblox Fire Extinguisher gear, along with using the same sound as it. If the player continuously clicks/taps the use button instead of keep pressing it, the Fire Extinguisher's Charge decreases much quicker. If the player tries to throw away the Fire Extinguisher it will display a message saying, "you can't throw out this item!".
