Overview[1]
Phoenix (formerly known as Bird: Phoenix) is a Beast-type Blox Fruit that costs 1,800,000 or 2,000 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer. Phoenix grants the user the ability to manipulate blue and yellow flames with magical properties, allowing them to deal damage, but also heal. It is most known for its ability to regenerate health quickly, healing both the user and nearby allies. More importantly, Phoenix grants the user the ability to transform into a full-body phoenix, providing them with increased defense and flight. Awakened Phoenix is powerful for both grinding and PvP due to its fast, low cooldown attacks and long, residual tick damage.

Awakening
Phoenix costs 18,500 Fragment to fully awaken. "The Phoenix" title #041 will be granted upon awakening at least one move of this fruit. Phoenix has a unique awakening method that differs from other fruits. Normally, players must purchase a chip from the Mysterious Scientist, but the process for this fruit is different. The player will need to: Obtain 400+ mastery on Phoenix. Talk to Sick Scientist, who is located at the Sea of Treats. The Raid Chip can also be purchased through the Mysterious Scientist, even in the Second Sea, after the player has purchased it at least one time from the Sick Scientist. This NPC will sell the player the Phoenix raid chip for 1,000 Fragment or a physical fruit worth at least 1,000,000 or more. Purchasing a chip with Fragments Fragment has a 2-hour cooldown, just like the Mysterious Scientist. The quest is permanent, so when the player switches to another fruit, the player can still buy the Phoenix Raid Chip. Note: Players can still join Phoenix raids hosted by other players and awaken Phoenix without having 400+ mastery, so the user can ask other players for help if they haven’t gotten 400+ mastery.

Patch history
Currently, Buddha and Phoenix are the only Beast-type fruits to have an awakening. Phoenix had some of the single harshest nerfs of any fruit, it's effects still hampering performance even today. Most moves have much larger visuals than actual hitboxes, attacks fire slow, and even moves can't chain well. The M1 also lost it's drag functionality. Because of the Phoenix Flames and Feathers' Immortality passive on the move, the user can stall above enemies and damage them, making it an ideal way to AFK farm money/mastery. Smoke and Blizzard also technically have infinite damage moves, but their moves need to be held. Phoenix is the first fruit to have a Mastery Requirement in order to obtain a chip for a raid. Currently, Phoenix is one of the few fruits to have ranged M1s. Unawakened somehow heals faster than the awakened. Phoenix is the first ever fruit to possess HP benefits. (excluding pre-nerf Buddha) The transformed Phoenix resembles a creature found in Chinese myths known as. The Phoenix is supposed to be a symbol of grace and virtue, an immortal bird that represented beauty. Its Blox Fruits counterpart, however, depicts the Phoenix as a violent and fiery beast. This depiction is closer to the Western Phoenix, despite having the traits and features of the Fenghuang. can be used to damage Sharks or the Leviathan while other players are attacking just by still staying on top. If the player uses awakened or while using the unawakened transformation, the transformation will be cancelled. Interestingly, the awakened version loses the earpiece on the flight move, and attacks.
