Drops

All drops are guaranteed if the player has dealt at least 8% of the total damage to each Leviathan segment. Each segment typically drops 3 to 5 Leviathan Scales (the amount is determined randomly), with the total amount ranging from approximately 12 to 20 Scales depending on the number of segments destroyed and player participation. If the player fails to meet the 8% damage requirement, they will not receive any rewards from the Leviathan or its segments. ~50,000 Leviathan Scales 1 Level 62,500 bounty/honor (if the player's bounty/honor is below 2.5M) ~250,000 Leviathan Scales 1,000 Fragment 5 Levels title Leviathan Heart The player or any player from that group must harpoon the Leviathan Heart using the Beast Hunter's harpoon and bring it to the Tiki Outpost in order to obtain it. The heart can be brought to Hydra Island's Waterfall to freeze the island (Freezing Hydra Island). However, players will not be able to obtain the heart.

Behavior

The Leviathan has four segments (including its main body/head) and the main body will not take any damage unless all segments have been destroyed. The Leviathan does not take damage from M1 attacks (except for the M1's of Dragon, Kitsune, Gas, Yeti, Tiger, Mammoth, Awakened Dough, Awakened Phoenix, Gravity and Explosive Guns) or single target attacks (except for the Magma ).

Tips

The player cannot damage the Leviathan if they joined the fight after the cutscene has been triggered. A good tactic is to have someone with Dragon, mainly the Western Variant transformed with the saddle equipped. Then, get someone to run into the ship's seats while pressing on the saddle. This can glitch the boat ontop of the Dragon allowing the boat to fly with the Dragon and easily skip annoying sea events like Terrorshark. However, keep someone on the driver's seat otherwise the game can cause the boat to despawn. It is recommended to have one or more players to repair the boat with the Shipwright Subclass, so that it does not get destroyed for a long time. Shark and Leviathan Shield are recommended to fight the Leviathan due to its defense against water damage to Blox Fruit users. In the case that the user decides to equip Leviathan Shield, the best races for Leviathan are Cyborg, Human and Draco, as Ghoul and Angel both cause visual effects and distortion that other people fighting might experience. In case no one has a Beast Hunter, boats with high health should be used, not fast or fancy boats like The Sentinel or Miracle, but boats like the Lantern or Guardian. Although, if the player wants to get the Leviathan Heart, they will need the Beast Hunter boat. It is not recommended for players to fully repair their boat before spawning the Leviathan. If the ship is damaged, repair it up to 2,000 health only. This ensures that the boat is confirmed to be returned to max health during the battle (The Leviathan cannot damage the boat).

Notes

Upon entering the Frozen Dimension, the player's boat will fully recover its health back, and the Leviathan cannot deal damage to the boat. If the player has summoned the Leviathan, they will need to defeat 20+ Sea Events (Piranhas/Sharks count as Sea Events) in order to bribe the Spy again. The Leviathan Heart has a lifespan of 1 minute. To obtain this drop, the player has to use the harpoon from the Beast Hunter and bring it back to the Tiki Outpost. Upon doing so, the player should see it appear in their inventory. It is recommended for one and/or multiple players to search for the Beast Hunter as soon as the Leviathan's main segment reaches around 10% to 15% health. This way, the players will be able to harpoon the Leviathan Heart in time before it despawns. The Beast Hunter is not required to spawn the Frozen Dimension, but it is required in order to obtain the Leviathan Heart. If the Beast Hunter was not used to hunt the Leviathan, the Heart will not spawn. If the player dies before/after the Leviathan has died, the player will not get the Leviathan Heart even if the player goes back to the boat after death (sometimes it will show the player the quest after they get back to the boat (Beast Hunter), but the Leviathan Heart will not be given to the player afterwards). The player can still leave the boat as long as they do not die, but they will have to catch up to the boat again and get the quest before the heart gets delivered to Tiki Outpost in order to obtain it.

Lore

The Leviathan is described by the Spy as a creature originating from primordial essence during a period of perpetual winter. It is said to have begun as a small whelping that remained submerged in the ocean’s deepest regions while the planet underwent a climatic transformation during the 10,000-year Solstice, which gradually ended the global winter. Over time, the Leviathan is believed to have developed cryokinetic abilities while coexisting with other deep-sea organisms. Following the emergence of the Red King, the Leviathan resurfaced, reportedly acting under the Red King's influence to refreeze the planet’s oceans.

Patch history

The Leviathan is the first enemy who has a cutscene of its appearance. The Leviathan is currently the largest Raid boss/enemy in the game. The Leviathan shares the same name with the title that is given to players upon obtaining Shark V4. Two Leviathans cannot be spawned at once. The same applies for Frozen Dimension. In Version 21.3 of Update 20, the Leviathan would not drop anything from its head/tail, although this bug was fixed in Version 22.0 of Update 20 in the Ghost Event. When first released, the Leviathan had 887,500 health, which was later increased to 1,012,500 before being adjusted to the current 1,000,000. Its segments initially had 187,500 health, but were later changed to 350,000. Instead of the Leviathan being spawned at the Frozen Dimension, it spawns behind Great Tree at Danger Level 4 and teleports all players in the Sea Exploration Group to it. The Leviathan is commonly abbreviated to "Levi" by players, which can be confusing to those who fish regularly, as there is a fish that shares a name with this abbreviation and has a similar appearance to the actual boss.
