Appearance

Goob is a beige-colored craft with a rounded, square-shaped head featuring tufts of fluff on the forehead and cheeks. He sports light yellowish-orange blush beneath his eyes, complimented by blue freckles above the blush on the left side and red freckles on the right. His torso is also light yellowish orange, adorned with tufts of fluff around the neck. Goob's arms are long, thick and flexible, resembling black, cable-like strings. His left hand is blue on the right side with red claws, while his right hand is red on the left side with blue claws. Both hands are large and rounded. Additionally, his knees and ankles are marked with light yellowish-orange stripes. His eyes are misaligned and he is commonly depicted as cross-eyed.

Personality

Goob is a cheerful Toon known for his energy and innocence, but he is known even more for his iconic love of giving hugs and how much he looks up to Scraps, his older sister. Adding on to the hugs, his interaction with reveals that he genuinely thinks that hugs are simply what others need, rather than using them strategically. His interactions with Toons like imply he is naïve and simple-minded, but he is actually far smarter than many realize, capable of understanding and recognizing complex social cues and emotions rather easily, (for example, he assumes Sprout and are "tense" instead of simply just sad), making him function as a therapist of sorts. Still, he does have his clumsy, comical moments from time to time, which makes him appear to live up to his name on the outside, but in reality, his heart and smart are balanced evenly.

Requirement Strategies

For the first requirement, focus on picking up Research Capsules and extracting Machines. The Machine and Capsule count increases the further you descend, so you can earn more. For the second requirement, play as and try to complete 3 of her Mastery Quests by going on multiple runs. Since you only need to complete half of the total mastery quests to buy Goob, choose some specific missions, preferably the easiest ones.

Strategies

Goob is a supporter Toon with excellent mobility and survivability, having 4Movement Speed and Stamina, which allows Goob to be able to out-walk most of the, and even Twisteds with the use of speed Trinkets, excluding, (Enraged) and. Goob also has 2 Star Stealth, which is the same as some Toons such yet as low as many others, making him a great candidate for one of the best distractors in the game. Goob's main bonus is his Active Ability. This Ability allows him to bring another Toon towards himself as long as they are in his line of sight. This can be useful in many ways, from saving lives to helping other Toons get around: Pulling a Toon away from a Twisted; Pulling a Toon into the Elevator during Panic Mode, including AFK players; Pulling a low Movement Speed Toon to help them travel faster; Pulling a high Extraction Speed Toon over to a Machine; Pulling a Toon away from 's circle, 's range when opened, 's hands, and such others; Pulling Healers/low Health Toons to healing Items; Pulling Toons away from Twisted Dyle if being chased by him or if he's nearby. Hug! is a generally useful tool for helping out teammates when used correctly. Goob can take advantage of his high Movement Speed and Stamina to get into good places to use his Ability, and with its broad usage, he can make use of it often enough to be worth it. In situations where a Twisted is between you and your hug target, you can use your Ability to pull them directly through the Twisted to safety, as Goob's target is invincible during the pull.

Patch history

Goob used to be one of 4 characters which were original characters before being added to Dandy's World. The exact type of OC Goob was based on is currently unknown. His name was originally E.G.G., (Especially Good Guy), his feet looked similar to roller skates, he had a tank possibly filled with ichor behind his back, and he even had a feminine human design. Goob is the younger brother of. Goob's name may be derived from the word "goober," meaning a foolish person. His carefree personality, cross-eyed expression, and slightly clumsy walk are some attributes that can earn him this name, but his understanding and thoughtfulness drive him away from being foolish. Goob used to be able to intentionally pull Toons from the Elevator into dangerous situations with his Ability, causing them to either take damage or die. If a Goob was caught doing this intentionally, they would likely receive a ban due to the rule of No Foul Play/Griefing (though if you did so accidentally, it wouldn't be a bannable offense). This is no longer possible in v0.3 and beyond. and point out that Goob has sharp teeth, being much more obvious when he is hurt and in the mouth of his Twisted counterpart. He, and all have sharp teeth, but his are hidden. Goob's arms do not highlight when hovered over with an Ability, likely because of how Goob's hands are technically not a part of his model. This also happens for Scraps and her Twisted counterpart. Goob's 'fingers' are actually claws. This is confirmed in one of his dialogues after he finishes a Machine.
