Personality

Shelly is a very extroverted Toon, who enjoys talking about her interest in dinosaurs and other forms of prehistoric life, but she has other hobbies as well, such as sewing, which is shown in her dialogues with, and. She is always bursting with energy and tries her best to get along with others, even to the point of twisting cruelty towards her into awkward kindness; shown in her conversation with. She is highly supportive and kind towards others, as hinted at through her Active Ability, possibly due to the influence of her Toon Handler or natural energy. She's often surprised and even excited when other Toons show an interest in her, especially, demonstrated in her dialogues with, Yatta, and, possibly because she often goes unnoticed or ignored by the others. For unknown reasons, Shelly is the most ignored Toon out of all the Main Characters, and this has been implied multiple times in the game and in her Twisted counterpart's description. This seems to greatly upset her, but she does try to keep up her optimistic and positive facade despite this, instances of which are shown in her dialogues with and.

Requirement Strategies

For the first requirement, focus on picking up Research Capsules and extracting Machines. The Machine and Capsule count increases the further you descend, so you can earn more. To maximize Ichor, It's heavily recommended to play solo, allowing you to gain larger amounts from extracting, whereas in a team where other extractors may be present. Playing as a Toon with an Active Ability that can be used without any perquisites will give you 5 Ichor every Floor. For the second requirement, have a distractor Toon bring to the elevator to you so you can get aggro. Playing as also helps getting Research faster because of his Passive Ability. This will be easier if Twisted Shelly is on the Daily Twisted Board. For the third requirement, play as and try to complete her Mastery Quests by going on multiple runs. It is recommended to go on an organized Run or do specific quests in certain runs.

Strategies

Shelly has the highest Skill Check Stat available, being 5, which gives her an aptitude for extraction. Her Active Ability, is capable of drastically increasing the Extraction Speed of a selected Toon by a whole 75%. As Shelly, you can either find an extractor using or near a Machine and boost them, or go off on your own and extract Machines, boosting those that pass you on the off-chance that they'll stumble across a Machine before the boost wears off. Upon any Machine's completion, her Passive, Problem Solver, solves one of her other problems, that being slightly-below average movement stats that hinder travel by giving her a boost of 25% in Movement Speed until the 10 seconds wear off (18.75 Walk Speed/31.25 Run Speed). This boost can stack. Shelly's Inspiration boost is really effective, being able to make 1-2 Star Extraction Speed Toons extract almost as fast as a 5 Star Extraction Speed Toon. Generally, unless duoing, it's best to boost anyone extracting that you can find on low Floors, though note that with multiple targets, you have to think carefully about who you are boosting, like prioritizing a Toon that has just started a Machine over one that's nearly completing it. Toons with high extraction Stats get to have more out of the buff as it lets them find another Machine to complete faster, but if most of the Machines are done, the Floor will finish faster if you buff a slow extractor or the person with the least completion on their Machine. If you're being chased, you can buff a teammate who's almost done with a Machine to get a speed boost out of it.

Shelly's designation is M-004 with the M standing most likely for. Shelly's name is most likely derived from the word "shell" since she is an ammonite, an extinct species of that lived in a shell.
